I can see a Ben White-style scenario happening here, wherein he plays so well for his loan team that a big team pick him up before he's really played much for his parent club. I'd like to see what he can do for us right now, tbh.

It just looks like an absolute poisoned chalice for Cooper, even from Day 1. Maybe I'm being harsh, but he seems like a Phil Brown / Ian Holloway / David Wagner level manager to me. As in - secures an unlikely promotion and then has a half-decent PL season with that promoted side. Most of any relative success being based on team spirit and positivity, rather than a sound tactical philosophy. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is very much my opinion of him. I'd put money on him managing in League 1 three or four years from now. I genuinely hope he makes me look stupid and does a solid job, but I just don't see it. Seems like a good bloke.
