I think he's at fault for the goal and should have done better. BUT overall, I think he was solid and looked very good. I have to say, I was notably impressed.

He's one of them. He'll do the little things, the tracking, tackle, simple passes to keep the move going, but never anything spectacular. Next to winks, he's ideal. I personally like him, I think once he's settled he'll improve.

He certainly wasn't woeful. I thought he was okay, put a few good crosses in. Overall he was fine, which is a good performance.

One encouraging sign for me is that there is signs of fight. The year we got relegated, there was clearly no fight or passion at all. This season I've more fight and aggression when we go behind. Players look like they do care.

It maybe right decisions, but he shouldn't have been in the way. A professional ref shouldn't be caught like that 3 times in one game at the top level. Sunday league yes, but the pinnacle of English football, no way. It wasn't like it was a quick switch in play, all 3 shouldn't have happened. I do think neither were a penalty, though 2nd should have if Vards was inside, but he wasn't so correct decision.

It's the Skipp tackle that gets me. Won the ball, but got booked and caused to affect the goal.

Ndidi, winks and Skipp in isolation isn't the issue. It's playing all 3 at the same time. We need to win our home games to give ourselves a chance. Villa looked vulnerable when we attacked them. Coops changed it too late. Let's hope the international break can be used to get an identity sorted. Starting with that lineup will only get one result. This is going to be tough.

For a professional ref to get in the way that often in one game is completely unacceptable. His positions were wrong. Skipp got the ball and gave some very soft fouls. Skipp won the ball. He didn't lose us the game, the starting line up did, but he had a helping hand in ruining the flow
