Does a buy now pay later loan count in FFP?
-
Buy, buy, buy!

I think I speak for the whole of Foxestalk when I say... Yes, yes we ruddy well do!

If nothing else, it's gone stale at board level. It's needs a new fresh approach (a less inept one) from the DoF. We needed change the year we got relegated. That was a perfect time to get the changes in. He was part of the course that relegated us and the financial issue we find ourselves in, so he failed at his job. It's screaming out for new blood, but I don't trust the club as a whole to have appointed an excellent replacement. We need the DoF to lead a new 'vision' with enthusiasm and direction and to be strong. We currently have a wet blanket Wet blankets allow managers to bring in Ayew

Haha. I can see where you're coming from He definitely comes across as socially awkward in his interview. You think it's lack of enthusiasm, but I think it's just him. He is one that is probably completely different around people he knows, stick him in front of a camera/mic and he freezes.

I think he'll do alright for us. I like what he brings. He's neater on the ball than Ndidi and I think he'll work well with Winks. He's a bit more robust than winks, which means he'll offer a bi of protection, but can still pass. I still think £25m (Inc addons) is a lot, but as a player, I like him.

This seems such a strange signing. Why pay £12-£15m for a defender that you're not going to play? I thought he would be a signing that would scream 3 big centre backs, with this guy being the more mobile of 3. But he's not playing. I know it's only 2 games, but makes wonder why this happened. Was it a case we were expecting to see a defender (Faes) leave? If so it's another obvious sign of bad management from the DoF side? Spending so much on the line that someone MIGHT leave is very bad business. That money could have been better used.

I'm on the belief that Cooper doesn't really do tactical analysis too much and relies on players ability. He said he doesn't want to change much from last season, which to me indicates that he is relying on players to remember how to play that style as he can't coach it. Enzo was a coach, he knew the way he wanted to play and knew how to coach it. It was boring at times, but it was a pattern of play that was coached into the players. This is also the reason why he's going for prem experience rather than talent. He expects players to just know what to do, so he doesn't have to tell them. He might be more of a motivator type of manager. If that's the case his number 2 needs to be an excellent coach. This is why Pearson/Shakey worked so well. One knew how to motivate, man manage and know the profile of player he wanted and was able to be a leader. The other was an exceptional coach. I hope it works for him here, I really do and I hope our fortune picks up. But right now we look rudderless and with players arguing already, there is frustration at an early stage, and this isn't encouraging.

Body language speaks a 1000 words, and Im not liking what I'm seeing. -
It's frustrating as he was clearly THE best player in the championship. He reads the game, works hard and an excellent player.
-
Ah well. If we were a mid table prem side, we would have a chance. It was always out of reach. Never mind, close thread.

I'd rather just cheer him from a distance then to be behind him. Seems a bit creepy

Nope, not getting excited. Nope, it's Rudkin, I'll pretend that it doesn't suggest that this might happen. Nope, not going to do it to myself. Once bitten and all that snizzle

If I add a Nah, nah in there, would that work. Or a woohoo
-
He's here, he's a blue. Not enthusiastic but I'll back him. Man Im so fully of bank holiday cheer Yay

So is Nixon now tier 1?

Jordan Ayew (interest confirmed by Percy)

£5m+ addons for a nearly 33 year old for whom I can't see where he fits into the squad?! It's another body (and expensive one) in the squad, I guess. Does he improve us other than that? I just can't see it. How are the club going to sell this one to us. What a waste of money. A freebie for a season, maybe I could accept it more, but to pay actual money is such a dire business decision. -

I did say to close this thread so this may not happen... -
Is it me, or does the guy celebrating look like @tom27111's profile picture?
-
Sargent. Nah, he was a poo against us in both games. He's not a premier league quality. Championship
