  1. You can't beat a run where your feel the sweat evaporating into salt on your face from the heat. I'll see how I go this Autumn and winter I've joined a running club to keep me consistent, the battle will be turning up.
  2. I misread that bit my bad! Can we now go after the league for damages citing the months of misery on here as evidence?
  3. I'm guessing it means we will get a deduction but not as severe as they were planning to implement which would not have been in line with previous deductions.
  4. Funny how everyone sees it differently, I always see there being no excuses April-Oct, after that theres usually lots of cold, dark wet excuses
  5. You've made up some scenario in your mind and speaking it as fact?
  6. He's some player Arblaster!
  7. What a game that was, two teams going for it and smashing each other all over the park. Brilliant to see that kind of fire from both teams, Sydie Peck would fight the world
  8. There are people who see and talk sense on this site
  9. His squad got finalised on Friday and its clear he's going to utilise his squad to setup however he sees fit on an opponent by opponent basis which when you are going up against the likes of Villa and Spurs why would you not?
  10. Of course any manager would prefer to have a full pre-season and 10 games rather than inherit a squad. But that's not the issue here is it? He's had 3 league games, 2 against teams who will be top 6 contenders and 1 against a very good side and we have been competitive in all 3. We had a potential banana skin of a league cup game which we won comfortably, more so than the other promoted team who people are quick to compare us to. My opinion is we haven't had 10 games to judge him on, but largely im pleased with bits I have seen. There are some concerns such as his team selections and the omission of Ricky P. But when we saw the fixtures come out, I was more concerned about us potentially rolling over in these first few months to Spurs, Villa and Arsenal because we have previously lacked fight. I was wrong, he seems to have instilled some grit in the team and there's a fight we haven't displayed for a while. I'll give him longer to sort out the tactics and get the results now we have a finalised squad, but I appreciate he's probably tried to make us hard to beat so far so we aren't going into the international break in a similar position to Saints and Everton who have looked horrendous so far.
  11. Deluded if you take anything from friendlies, or more that your looking for any excuse to get at the bloke.
  12. Unfortunately they are, quite clear from a number of their opinions they don't have a clue about the game.
  13. Yes sorry I wasn't calling you out on it, does concern me how other fans don't understand the use of VAR when it has been clearly stated multiple times
  14. They check goals, potential penalty decisions and red cards, not quite everything but as you say if there was anything in it they would have gave the pen.
  15. That cnut can rot before he comes anywhere near this club again
  16. What happens if we get a decent result? You gonna grow up a bit?
  17. It's funny how before the spurs game those opposing Cooper were talking about how we would get hammered every week. We had a poor 45 minutes and then turned out a very good 45 mins to get a draw against a team that will be in the top 6 come the end of the season. We then went to Fulham, which regardless of how many fans want to belittle other teams, have become a good, hard to beat PL side and we were competitive in spells losing 2-1. Now the goalposts have moved from we're going to get battered every week to the performances have been poor, there's no game plan, he doesn't pick his best players etc, yet we're only two weeks into the season and no one wants to afford him time to be able to work with a squad who was only just finished being put together last night. It's game week 3 of the season, there's a long way to go. Im not saying he's going to be a success, but I'll reserve my judgement for a while longer yet. What I have seen is a manager who can adapt to what other teams are trying to do, who has tried to make us hard to beat but recognises we haven't been good enough in spells and a manager who has seemingly been quite honest and open in what he has had to say. The constant negativity around here is boring, can we not just get behind a bloke who is seemingly trying to give us the best chance of survival until he gives us a genuine reason not to? At the moment we have people jumping on every little thing, putting opinion across as fact despite us all knowing close to F all about what it actually takes to work with a PL team.
  18. All this crying about Ipswich being superior to us with their transfer business, if that was us on deadline day this place would be toxic, I mean more toxic than it has been for the past few months while school holidays have been on...
  19. For future reference that’s DaveOCKOP way down on the tier system.
  20. How long have you been waiting to use the goodnight for ?
  21. The whole Chelsea situation absolutely stinks and the Premier League will do F all about it.
  22. Rob Edward’s could be an unlikely early casualty.
  23. We’re only 2 games in to a 38 game season, there’s a long way to go and a lot of football to be played. I appreciate we can only judge off of what we have seen so far but until you get a few games past this first international break it can still change so much
  24. I reckon this could be ahead of them losing Evan Ferguson today.
