The thing is he's already got the **** vote pretty much tied down anyway. At least it should encourage the young uns to register to vote...mandatory Maths to 18 then mandatory military service or compulsory volunteering (...how does that even work), then who knows what. The Tories really do hate young people. Also the military hate the idea of compulsory National Service anyway. Maybe just fund the regular armed forces properly? Tomorrow's manifesto pledge will probably be to bring back rationing and rickets...

Will be a stonking Labour majority. There are going to be so many Portillo moments that I'm going to need several bottles of champagne in the fridge to toast them all. Cheers.

Premier league clubs to vote on scrapping VAR
Brizzle Fox replied to David Hankey's topic in Leicester City Forum
I imagine the vast majority of match going fans would vote to get rid of VAR. Therefore the clubs will overwhelmingly vote to keep it. -
He'll be a one season wonder. Guaranteed we spaff our entire meagre summer transfer budget all over him then.

Was pivotal in our FA Cup run and I really like his little celebration when he scores. However he just looks like he can't be arsed most of the time which reminds me of myself at work, but earning a lot less money and not playing football. Feels like the Turkish League awaits him.

Gotta be Gullis for the bants. Must admit she was on my Reform bingo card.
-
She's hideous. Standing down at the next GE though, so who knows what she's been offered. The symbolism of the MP for Dover laying into Sunak however, with his fanatical small boats obsession, is kinda delicious.

Was on in one of my locals in Bristol a couple of weeks ago as well, so seems to be getting all over.

Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

That's really poor but unfortunately not surprising. Very shortsighted indeed. -

But thankfully nowhere near as many as the right wing press, Twitter or nut jobs like Cruella think. Elections are won in the centre ground and as we've seen once again in the local elections, the majority of people voted for centre or centre left parties. Most British people are basically decent and moderate in their views, and the more parties move to the left or the right then the more they alienate the masses. To me that is extremely reassuring.

One of my favourite ever players. What a career. Only player to win the top 3 leagues with the same club then finishes out his career with the club he supported as a lad. He couldn't have written it any better.

Oh Leeds. Bless

Who do you want for next season in the PL
Brizzle Fox replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
Kasey Palmer has some ability but not as much as he thinks he has. Also got a terrible attitude. Avoid -
Probably a good bit of knowledge to have when voting that Rwanda is a safe country you'd think. Or not The audience reaction and the Wes Streeting side eye are Labour election campaign posters already I'd suggest.

Also there's the local Derby vibe to this fixture, particularly on the Boro side. They'd never roll over for Dirty Leeds.

Desperate attempt to get a couple of % points back from Reform, appealing to the traditional hardcore Tory vote. Damage limitation

What I really want to know is if it was Angela Rayner's flat (not main residence...). Bloody Rayner!!! I'm sure the Mail will tell me.

Crikey. I didn't see that coming after watching Blackburn the other night. Fair play to them but does anyone want to get promoted! I bet Soton can't believe they're still in it.
-
Blackburn are certainly playing a tad better than they did when I watched them get tonked 5-0 the other night. Was some Faes level defending in that one...

It's a bit like why a lot of people believe the man of the people vibe given out by public school educated, plummy accented, rich investment banker type politicians (insert names of your choice). There still exists a weird sense of forelock tugging, inferiority complex, feudalism amongst a lot of people in this country. Very odd.
