  1. Yup. I think they went out of business as well and are now effectively starting over. 'Fit and proper' owner test obviously extremely robust...
  2. Another name disappearing from the football firmament. Used to love their chequer board kids. Such a shame for their fans.
  3. Tbf it's hard to be a bigger twat than what we already have... Know a few Ipshit fans and they love him as a player and as a "good human", always first to get involved in community activities etc. Feels like Captain material, as tbf they're ain't any other options amongst our current range of spineless senior players.
  4. Spot on. Went defensive too early and couldn't defend for shit. They could have had a hatful in the last quarter of that game. ****ed it up big time.
  5. What brilliant news. Off work today and awoke from a lovely lie in to this news. Racing later then the England game tonight. It's going to be a good day.
  6. All it illustrates to me is just how we lack genuine leaders in the current squad. Maybe Chaplin, Ings, Whoever will fill the void.
  7. Would be sooooo Leicester to sell the good brother and buy the shit brother to replace him.
  8. When is Ali Dia signing?
  9. The rankings have always been absolute bollax tbh. Not saying England are anything special, but I've seen far less from Argentina. Of course whoever wins that semi will most likely lose to Spain or France in the final, but with the overall lack of quality in this tournament, we need to embrace what a brilliant opportunity this is for England to reach a World Cup final and not build Argentina and a past his best Messi up to be more than they are.
  10. This is a poor Argentina side and England should win comfortably. I reckon Messi will really look his age in this one.
  11. Actually didn't mind Dixon too much tonight....words I've never typed before. But Matterface. OMG...."A step closer to achieving the first semi-final of a World Cup since 2018". You mean the tournament before the last one. Jeez a whole 8 years of hurt.
  12. Good to see everyone's favourite man of the people sticking it to the establishment. I'll raise a pint of real ale to that
  13. I don't think we'll get the opportunity tbqh. As much fun as it would be, I just think they'll lose to Columbia or Switzerland in the quarters. Both those teams will be too organised for them and certainly won't chuck it if they get in a winning position like Egypt did. As much as we can bemoan the luck (if that's the right word) that Argentina had today, Egypt's tactics after they went 2 up were just abject.
  14. Good to see the US team holding up integrity within football by not turning up against an over the hill and washed up Belgium. Respect.
  15. Wouldn't be as pleasurable as watching Neymar's self indulgent meltdown last night, but would come close. Vamos Espana.
  16. All he does is score goals...
  17. Man I've just finished it. Genuinely don't think I've connected so much with a show for years. Gonna miss those characters so much but it finished at the right time and with the right tone. Just beautiful.
  18. At least Rehan is back in the team now today. Great news (of course now he'll get a first ball duck and go for over 10 an over on his bowling!)
  19. Golaza is a bit of a character
  20. Kinda enjoy how naughty Paraguay are. Proper South American stereotypes. Old school.
  21. It's just the same as it's always been. There has always been a hierarchy in football. That won't ever change, just a moving around of clubs below the established top tier. Just so happens that we've just dropped down a few levels in the last few years.
  22. Agree with a lot of the recent posters. He's so young no one can really predict how he and his career will develop. May become a really good player, but could also end up playing in the Belgium 2nd Division by his mid 20s and National League by 30. This move is good for his bank balance but not convinced it will be good for his long term career. He may just disappear amongst all the other "good prospects". Therefore as much as I dislike our current regime, and if the fee is anywhere near being correct, then may turn out to be a good deal. Also we havent got much other choice at this time. Good luck to the lad I suppose.
  23. Colombia looked really good again. Dominant. Just a shame they haven't got anyone who can put the ball in the net as they miss so many chances
  24. Ayinger is my current fav. Oh and anything by Rothaus.
