  1. My thought exactly. I don't believe we would have done. An awful click bait article by an awful journalist in an awful newspaper.
  2. I would imagine there are similar threads on most other clubs' forums, but that forum in particular has had a long running thread that looks across all clubs in FFP/PSR difficulties. We're simply the latest subject matter. The perception of cheating, tends to make a lot of other clubs' fans feel like they've been directly, detrimentally impacted by such actions, whether they have or haven't (note previous glee/anger on here regarding Everton, Notts Forest etc). Hardly surprising therefore that other clubs' fans may be interested/bothered about our shenanigans.
  3. I've just been to see my therapist after venturing into the main forum. Can I come in please?
  4. Yeah i refer you to the first line of my post.
  5. As an aside the sale of tin foil hats must have gone through the roof in the Leicester area in the last few days. I think we can all agree FFP/PSR is designed to maintain the status Quo but we have been scandalously mismanaged off the pitch by a bunch of absolute morons over the last few years, fully aware of what the rules were. The levels of paranoia on this thread are scary. I know a good psychiatrist if anyone is looking for a referral for some Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
  6. No excuses for how the powers that be are dragging their feet on this but its a much more complex case, covering a multitude of different charges over a multitude of years under different regulatory frameworks. So in summary I suppose you'd say it is totally different. The quantum of their alleged breaches should really see them chucked out the league if proven but they'll probably just end up with a fine...
  7. Genuinely couldn't give a **** what they do to us. We all know that football is totally corrupt and designed to benefit the 'elite' clubs and we were the mongrel that upended and spilled their gravy train. Was only a matter of time before they got us. All part of the excitement of following the most interesting club in English football. However as an aside how ****ing clueless are the muppets currently running our club. A laugable collection of moronic, talentless muppets. I'd say heads will surely roll but we know that won't be the case. All hail our King Power overlords!
  8. They haven't got any ambition. Well not under the current owners. More interested in the rugby club and building a new basketball arena.
  9. Bristol City have no pace in the centre of defence but have big, strong defenders who are good in the air. Not sure this tactic will be very fruitful.
  10. Shame they didn't spell her name right. Unless it's not meant to be Meghan Markle but some other random woman called Megan. Maybe.
  11. Didn't Muzzy Izzet's brother play for Colchester. Kemal I think he's called. He's quite small so probably would have liked playing on a smaller pitch if he was still playing today.
  12. I'd take the Leeds one out as the most one sided 1 0 victory I've ever seen. They're easily the best team who've rocked up at Ashton Gate this season. Far more impressive than West Ham and Notts Forest were. However there is a theme generally as you allude to, that they tend to perform better against teams who come with some intent to play. They're absolutely clueless when faced with teams with a defensive mindset, which seems to be most teams in this league. I just get the feeling that there's so much animosity and negativity around the Gate at the moment, that I can't see the level of performance being in them anymore that they displayed against Southampton for instance.
  13. Blind optimism is an approach I have in many aspects of life!
  14. Dunno. He's got achilles issues and he's been out longer than expected already, which is kind of the story of his career sadly. As well as his calmness on the ball they really miss his leadership on the pitch.
  15. He won't get sacked. The owners are too stubborn to acknowledge that they've made another mistake.
  16. This. Manning is an AI bot appointed by idiots. Reckon if the away fans start singing some Nigel Pearson songs that the whole ground will join in....if they're not asleep that is.
  17. King does get minutes still but his legs have gone. James is injured but was playing superb before this, and as soon as he got injured Bristol's form has dropped off a cliff. As I've said elsewhere the manager has managed to lose the dressing room and fans in record time. The bloke is clueless and the football is so boring. Did beat Southampton though. In all seriousness if City can't beat this lot then even my natural optimism would die and play offs will be a near certainty. They are that bad at the moment.
  18. We'll win the next game to go back top and build momentum again from there. I genuinely think we'll still win this thing, crazy old fool that I am.
  19. As I said in another thread I thought it was decent from where I was sitting in the Chelsea Family Stand, even if the singing was a bit disjointed between upper and lower as you often get with bigger away followings. As an aside and apologies for the poor picture quality but £38 is an absolute ****ing disgrace tbqh.
  20. Will second that. Was sat amongst the Chelsea rent boys in the section next to the away end and sounded good pretty much all game.
  21. We should have a pretty much fully fit squad for this one. Bristol City have one of, if not the worst record in the league in 2024. Bristol City play a mind numbingly boring possession first style of football. Bristol City have a moronic, psychobabble spouting, robot as manager. Said manager has already managed to lose the dressing room and fans. Should be an easy away win.
  22. What romantic nonsense. With Mark Ashton there as CEO that is most unlikely. Loves splashing the big contracts around does our Mark.
  23. His 3rd party in 6 years. Hope he enjoys his last few months in Parliament. Kinda love the irony that Cameron only called the Brexit referendum to keep the Conservative Party together, and it will end up ripping it asunder in a much worse way than if he hadn't bothered. I am so here for that.
  24. Yeah it's very much away friendly. Gets very busy though.
  25. Going to this one and kinda looking forward to it, even if a tad disillusioned with football at the moment. Only downside is that I'll be in with the Chelsea lot, so I hope I have something to inwardly celebrate (as unlikely as that would seem...).
