Yes I totally agree. As I said, Vardy’s lack of movement (not his fault, he’s 38 ffs) is ONE OF the reasons we don’t create chances. Add to that two shit full backs who play like crabs, a central midfield full of workhorses who mostly don’t care (Soumare I’m looking at you) , a Manager’s refusal to play any wingers and that’s why. If we had Delap or someone similar, I can guarantee you we would be a bit harder to player against because he would stretch defenders and open up gaps. It isn’t Vardy’s fault but we need to let go and move on.

He absolutely does not run the channels and that is one (of many) reasons we don’t create any chances. He is part of the problem. Imagine how different things might be if we had a Delap up front for instance. These are the kind of players we are missing out on, because we can’t let go of Vardy.

Simply cannot believe what I’m reading from most of you on here. How on earth can you not see he’s nowhere NEAR good enough anymore. He’s a legend , our greatest ever but he’s too old now. It happens to all players. If he stays it just means another year before we find someone to replace him. We are crying out for someone physical, who can run the channels, hold it up, run in behind. Whilst Vardy is here and captain, we ain’t finding that striker we so badly need to move forward. Wish he’d left us at the end of last season. He deserved to go out on a high.

He absolutely is (one of the many) problems, in my opinion He’s our greatest ever no doubt, but he’s stayed too long. The failure to even try to replace him has left us in a situation where we have to play him at 38 years of age, for almost 90 minutes in every game. Absolutely essential we don’t give him another deal and we look to the future once this season ends. If he stays another season, it’s another season waiting for us to sign someone who can actually be good for us. Yes we dont create anything for him, but the whole team suffer because he can’t run the channels (hasn’t for years), can’t hold the ball up, can’t win much in the air (and how can he? He’s usually up against 2/3 massive centre halves all on his own). Time to give him a great send off and let him go to the US or somewhere else to finish his career on a high. He deserves better than playing with this lot
