Timely reminder for supporting non-league instead. Utter dross as usual. Club is washed -
Said it many times before but we are utterly appalling

Honestly, I don’t believe so but who knows with this group. I think the requirements for Step 2 would render promotion unachievable so IMO Quorn are at the highest they can get to. The Chairman wouldn’t allow the club to get into the same issues that Coalville and Loughborough Dynamo got into so being sustainable at Step 3 is probably a big enough task. Having one of the lowest wage structures in the league helps somewhat and only serves to credit the club further for the current performance levels. My one worry is that although unlikely, a decent league position at Christmas renders Bez in the sights of other teams who have vacancies available. It just wouldn’t work with him at the helm of this group. His stock was already big but now it’s getting bigger. And rightly so.

Been a while Quorn 2 - 1 Bromsgrove A game truly containing the old adage, it’s a game of two halves. First half Bromsgrove dominating play with actually causing too much threat on the Quorn goal. Movement, pressing, transition speed all possibly the best seen so far from an opposition this season. A poor back-pass gifts the outstanding Sanches an easy goal to take the visitors into the interval one up. Second half Quorn switch to a 3-5-2 and the difference is immediate. Bromsgrove seem content to try and weather the storm but a goal from ex Wigan u23’s O’Boyle sparks the home team into life. As the clock winds down, spurned chances look like they would again cost Quorn 3 points until the evergreen Billy Kee causes a mix up between Keeper and Defender with the ball ricocheting off Kee and into the net for three points. The perfect response after Saturday. It’s an astonishing start to the season for newly promoted Quorn. Tipped as some people’s favourites to go down, they sit on 16 points and their defeats have been where they’ve beaten themselves.

Quorn 0 - 1 Barwell Disappointing end to what had been a phenomenal run of games unbeaten in all comps. A win was always coming at some point but against a fellow contender for the bottom third of the table, anything less than a point was unthinkable. Quorn struggled to deal with Barnwell’s physicality and miss chances including a penalty cost them dear. Mancinelli getting on the score sheet for the second time in as many games with a great low effort Quorn’s midfielder Lyne guilty of not closing him down with any effort. Barwell’s Keeper had a great day. Still, 10 point from 15 in August is a great return for Quorn

No doubt he knows what world-class standards looks like but he’s not going to be imparting that into anything close to world-class players. Wish him all the best but a very tough gig

Quorn 5 - 2 Stratford Stunning afternoon down the ‘Stotto’. Quorn carrying on their good start to life in Step 3 taking on Stratford still looking for their first points of the season. Game sparked into life early with Zak Goodson converting a penalty inside ten minutes. A cross from Goncalves found its way inside the far post before possession lost up field both times ensured Stratfords opener and equaliser. Goodson repaired the lead at HT. Second Half, substitutions on 60 introduced Noble into the fray and it wasn’t long before he gets the first after good work in midfield. His second kills the game and ensures Quorn take 7 points from the first 9.

Quorn 1 - 1 Stourbridge A good match befitting of the occasion that being Quorn’s first Home game of Step 3. Stourbridge came out the blocks first ten but Quorn grew into the game more as the half went on. Save of the night from Stourbridge Keeper Amos from Beswick before pre-season enigma Digie slides home Quorn’s opener. 2nd half Stourbridge come out again and the game gets a little feisty Asst Gaffer Wilkesy seeing a soft Red for not a lot. Stourbridge direct approach and fitness pays off with a couple left with an equaliser very harsh on Quorn who will rue missed opportunities to have gotten a second. However a point against consistently Top Ten opposition is a great return. More importantly, although the adrenaline of early season will be flowing, Quorn shown they can compete at this level
