  1. Worcester 0 - 1 Quorn I wasn’t present in person but from numerous conversations with fans & a player, the first half belonged to Quorn with the woodwork saving Worcester three times. The evergreen Billy Kee involved in a couple. Inevitably, Worcester regrouped after the interval and made life difficult Tom Allsopp making the transition to Step 3 well producing some good saves to keep Quorn in it. Game was settled at the death with debutant Sub, and Leicester born, Flynn o’Boyle capitalising on a mix-up between Defender and Goalkeeper to grab the winner. The former Wigan u21 instantly the hero. Onto Tuesday’s first home step 3 against Stourbridge.
  2. IT’’S BACK!!!!!!
  3. Today Stage 8. Podacar finished 9 seconds after the leader but on the official classification, it’s says +0 meaning he finished at the same time. Confused!!!!!
  4. Oh thank frick Non-League is back. It’s been a long 6-8 weeks all forgotten quickly with a trip up the Stotto for Quorn v Tamworth and a 1-1 draw. No report. Just still buzzing it’s all back!!!!
  5. Norman Leet But in all seriousness, Lineker & Lynex
  6. Credit to Big Mitch & Co they are absolutely firing in the transfer market
  7. We’re ridiculously spoilt for choice next season. St Andrews at Step 6 and if the rumours are true, Birstall are slowly on the verge of something big. Foundations being put into place. Kirby’s New Manager Tony Thorpe will make things interesting. Northern League Prem Midlands is ridiculously strong. Anstey will do well to make the play-offs for the 3rd year in a row.
  8. Wasn’t there a story about someone taking a photograph of him on holiday with his family years ago and him becoming threatening?
  9. Quorn’s budget last year was not to dissimilar to St Andrews. The big Quorn earners are complimented by a few lads on or around £100 included a lot of the defence and squad players one of which, age is the key factor, is on £25. Obviously over the course of a season, the £250 / £300 ish a week difference adds up into a considerable saving over the months but Quorn had little option to dramatically cut wage budget given Lavery’s wild spending the seasons before. By all accounts, this season may not see St Andrews & Aylestone put up the same money as before which, given the history of Coalville and Loughborough Dynamo, is good financial management. Although league apart at present, the Andrews will be strongly fancied for promotion this season. Interesting Aylestone doing a rewind to some players not deemed good enough. There’s will be a very tough league this year.
  10. Kettering Chairman is a semi-basket case. Can’t see next season being anywhere near as good for them but this was always going to happen. Beswick signing a 2-year deal is great work by Quorn and much needed. On what is comfortably a borderline Step 6 budget, and although an admirable statement saying they want to compete, Quorn have a free shot at staying up. And if they do stay up, or are mid-table by Christmas, Beswick’s stock will be enormous. It will be interesting to see the player moves. Early rumours are of some semi-stalwarts moving on I imagine value being the bottom line with such a tight budget, every penny counts.
  11. Outstanding again. Another extra days rest in the bank cannot be understated.
  12. Wasn’t Kirk and Cain a ‘thing’?
  13. Loves lobbing them in against Quorn
  14. Ruby leaving would be a disaster
  15. I know some of it. Difference of opinions between a few parties.
  16. Correct. Was a messy split too by all accounts
  17. He was at Quorn a couple of seasons ago and was a stand out player despite the club going through some sticky times. Always had time for a chat too wish him nothing but the best. Make no bones about, UCL South is going to be a great watch next year. A bit of dead wood moving out and some strong teams coming in. Be interesting to see how Hinckley AFC do too.
  18. You also have the history with Rugby’s RB who at 35 is still an absolute baller and speed merchant
  19. Outstanding again 👏🏻👏🏻
  20. Watched Aylestone v Rugby Borough. Will say only that very disappointed for Jim & Elliott in the Aylestone dugout and the better team won on the day which, on paper, should not have happened (although I’m old enough to know what’s on paper means nothing)
  21. Barwell to go down Ash Chambers to Quorn. Would hope for more but the money isn’t there by all accounts. Brady Hickey should walk into any Step 3 club maybe even Step 2. Leamington maybe. Plenty of takers for Peps, Master, Waite, Rowe-Turner & Brown-Hill
  22. Last season v Preston away to win the league. Smashing the ball in from 2 yards then falling over. The last time I got to see him play and what was my birthday as well. What turned out to be the perfect ending
  23. This day’s been coming. And it’s probably best for all parties. But I just really, really hate our Club at present. Hate it
  24. If we’re going down the route of ex-Leicester. Get Bezza in from Quorn. Set Goughy, Jasper & Mason on Faes, JV & Coady and they’d soon run away quick. Problem solved
  25. Shepshed 1 - 1 Quorn It says a lot when a draw to secure a whole season unbeaten away from home is looked upon in mild disgust. Quorn making a few changes from previous weeks leaving out Captain Rico disrupted the midfield already struggling with no Noble & Bezza present. A huge call from the Ref sending Shepshed Keeper Dan Wallis off for colliding with Paddy Webb when thru on a one on one and after Webb had tried to lob him but the ball bouncing over the bar. Apparently if the goal would have gone in, a yellow would only have been shown. Quorn MOM Billy Kee scoring from the resulting free kick. Missed chances again costing Quorn with the stand in Dynamo Goalie having a blinder. Second half came and it was difficult to see who had the man advantage. Quorn finding it difficult to get the grips with the conditions and pitch resulting in Louis Samuels grabbing the equaliser. The home team could have and should have maybe won the game. The point was enough to take Quorn’s tally to a ridiculous 100 for the season.
