  1. And we would have to pay compensation to both Enzo and Cov. We cannot afford to do this anymore. We would have to have an out of work manager
  2. I’m not laughing at you. But I think you are over playing the doomsday scenario. We are undoubtedly in trouble, and the next few years might be decidedly challenging. I think we face a points deduction regardless of the league we are in, unless the whole points deduction thing gets scrapped, which I think will happen, as it’s making a mockery of the league system
  3. Championship may be better for us. With the mess we are in I fear the Prem would be a Sheff Utd like experience. Miserable. So we sell whatever we can this summer as well as saying goodbye to out of contract JV, MA, Wilf, Kelechi and Jannik. Yunus and Callum go back to host clubs. Don’t think we will be able to buy Fats. We will certainly sell KDH. Hopefully can find buyers for Wout and Patson (I’ve so wanted him to be a success here ). There might be offers for some other players, but as the OP said we then use players in contract but out on loan, or youngsters. We try and pick up a couple of freebies (we have to get our finances in order). Mid table next season, then hopefully progress the season after with players like Cannon, Wanya, Alves, Braybrooke, Wormleighton, and hopefully still one or two of the likes of Coady, Ricky P and Winks to provide a core of experience.
  4. What do you specifically want to happen? You’re cross. We’re all cross. But how do we demand better? Last Saturday the atmosphere was better than it has been for some time, and arguably helped us over the line to a 2-1 win. Do you want booing? Do you want a protest outside the ground? And what specifically are you asking for? Who do you want out? How do you demand accountability for our fall from grace over the last two years? I don’t know for sure, but I don’t suspect any club has ever sacked a manger whilst it sits top of the table. I totally understand your frustration, but I suspect part of it stems from the fact that in all truth there is nothing we can do. We’ve had five years of unbelievable glory. Now we have years of misery ahead.
  5. I think I’d accept offers for any one of our players this summer. We need to start again. Most likely in the Championship. There is such a disconnect at the moment: - we feel we can challenge the football authorities despite obviously breaking the rules - we have little appetite to fight for victories - the club see us as customers. They treat supporters trying to do something special , like the Vardy tifo, with disdain - they never grant media interviews as they have no wish to be held to account. We have become an arrogant club . An entitled club. And it’s horrible to witness.
  6. This is commitment. Good lad!
  7. The bizarre thing is after 80 minutes of ineffectual possession football we go more direct in the last 10 and create about three decent chances. Praet ran at them, Fatawu ran at them and both created chances. And there is no need for Faes to make runs from deep, when he inevitably loses the ball and creates a counter attack opportunity. It’s just so painfully obvious.
  8. I think it will be the kind of atmosphere that our Vards thrives upon. Dog’s abuse all evening followed by much cupping of the ear if he scores.
  9. It’s totally clear that if Foxes Trust board members were as confrontational as some of the keyboard based contributors on this thread would have them be, they would be excluded completely. Such is the challenge we face. Better to at least have some leverage than none at all
  10. So only the sales of Harvey and Chestnuts in the current accounting period. Say we got £45 million for the pair. We spent about £30 million last summer. Including £8 million on a fourth choice striker. Bonkers.
  11. By a country mile. Very happy to see different teams reaching the Prem. Ipswich are a splendid club who upset the apple cart in the 80s, introduced glamorous continental players like Thijssen and Muhren. The Ipswich fans I know are all splendid people, and I’d be delighted for them to go up automatically, ideally with us!
  12. I’m not sure you’re going to get through this season without some kind of breakdown. We actually played decently day. Who knows if we will go up or not. You don’t, I don’t. But if you can’t enjoy the days when we win I’m not sure why you do this to yourself.
  13. Friday was a shit day. Today isn’t. If we have 7 more days like this, we go up automatically
  14. That was palpable on Friday. Bristol, with nothing to play for, were more urgent than us. That’s baffling and hugely problematic.
  15. We really have been terrible since conceeding. Utterly terrible.
  16. Little by little, our golden era is disappearing into the distant past.
  17. True. But in many games have missed gilt edged chances too.
  18. You have a short memory. Against Fulham last January he pretty much ran the game, hit the crossbar, did all he could to lift us. With the talent at his disposal the so called elite manager we had at the time utterly ****ed everything up. We became a total shambles.
  19. One of the evening games a few weeks back I bought an (utterly disgusting) burger and chips from the van behind the East Stand. Wasn’t allowed to take that in either. Why the hell not? It’s just so petty.
  20. I watched a bit when it was 1-1. We were trying to play Enzo ball, but the lads just couldn’t keep hold of the ball. It was borderline comical
  21. Absolutey this. I’m clutching at straws, but perhaps this will reinvigorate us all!
  22. It’s all got way too tense. All of us had our expectations massively altered by 2015/16. We achieved something genuinely miraculous. We know, in truth, it will never be that good again in our lifetimes. Hence a cloud of nostalgia hangs over the club. And I don’t know what will change that.
  23. Is it not a James song?
  24. What are you saying? Have you come on here to write a post that essentially criticises yourself? And what horror show are you referring too exactly ?
  25. Absolutely certain. Which international break, less so.
