Someone earlier said it’s the wingers, it’s not really. I’ve lost count of how many crosses we’ve pinged in for there to be absolutely nobody within a country mile of them. We’re just not getting bodies in the box, trying too many tippy tappy flicks to walk it through, not shooting when we could and not driving hard enough when our patient build up work has opened a team up. We seem to be building our own brick wall against the final third with over embellishment. Still, haven’t done too bad and maybe it will be just another kink we need to work out.

First half battle with Boro trying to adopt the Leeds model. They did it pretty well and we made some stupid decisions trying to slavishly stick to the master plan. Second half they tired and we dominated. But again some stupid decisions, some bad luck and some good saves. Then a Chowders special, which has been coming for about 10 minutes, and an unstoppable free kick. It is what it is, but we really need to think a little bit sometimes.

To be fair we’re riding high and doing well. Last night should not derail us. However, Enzo ball won’t save us in the Prem unless we somehow muster a starting 11 not too far off Man City’s. That won’t happen. We are better than most in the Championship, it’s just a fact. So we can get away with it.

Mate I absolutely agree. I’m 100% with you. I think you should have a plan B. You should change things up and not be afraid to ping it long or throw on another forward. Rigid belief in a system is good, but you have to have flexibility and a willingness to accept that your preferred method isn’t working. Like I said, though, it’s going ok currently, so no need to panic.
