Never been more desperate for a striker in my lifetime. To have only 1, who has just joined from a very weak league where he hardly tore it up, and is a young lad, is criminal. Unacceptable to have started the season like this.

Looks rubbish so far but I can see him being a bit of a moments player and still getting a decent goal/assist return

This might sound silly but even his bad crosses showed something because they weren't that far away from being good. The fact he will go inside and out, then cross, shoot or pass is just so refreshing. If he's got a chance to go forward he will, but he often made the right decision when he wasn't able to be direct. Worked really hard as well

How we can still be playing this chump. He is so crap, especially if you're asking him to do a forward thinking role. He doesn't have the technical ability to do that so he has to take an extra touch. And that's if we're lucky enough to see him want to play forward. Most of the time he's just waltzing about. A game of opinions and all that, but if you want to see this scumbag play for us, there's genuinely something a bit wrong with you

Despite how crap he is, sometimes does get over the top criticism. But today he was pathetic. Couldn't do anything properly

. We've dominated the game so I'm not sure you'd have a single player from their side in the best 11, which would immediately discount Skipp from being one of the worst. Then you've got Thomas, BDR, Cullen who've all been awful. Plus Burns basically done nothing (not had the bad), so he definitely hasn't been one of the worst players on the pitch. I'm not even saying he's been great as his touch has been poor but he's seemingly retrieved the ball immediately so not mattered. Would rather Braybrooke was playing that role but I don't let my bias overrule what I'm seeing. He might be crap, but he's still twice the player Hamza is and not a total scumbag. Obvs he played a shite pass as soon as I posted that

Even if you're not at all precious about our position/stature in English football, this is genuinely pathetic. West Ham aside, who in the championship has got a bigger fanbase than us? Absolutely none of them. Lived in several parts of the country (never near Leicester) and even ignoring the fact that I'm going to be more open to somebody supporting Leicester, I've genuinely met more 'fans' of Leicester than of all the other clubs (excluding WHU) in the championship combined. And then the rest of it; . Even some of the pro KP nonsense from before the penny dropped for most in the media, wasn't as biased or full of crap as that. Madness.

You can't articulate well because it's not logical, yet you're absolutely correct. Most clubs tend to take a very 'grass is greener' sort of look with youngsters. Not ready for you but somebody else's is

Based on what? Potential is pretty hard to quantify so it's primarily subjective but I've just given you some like for like comparison at the same age (Page actress younger) as to why that might the case. He's got attributes that Rice will never have. I'm a massive fan of Rice, always have been, but he's largely exceeded his potential because he's improved on a technical level more than anyone thought. Unlike you, I've at least tried to quantify/give evidence to back up my claim, rather than just relying on the old 'because I said so'. Oh, and the point of potential is that is how good you *could* become, not how good you *will* become

He's on a pro contract for another 3 years so it's not going to a tribunal. He won the EFL apprentice of the year and played 20 games in the championship at 17 (in the most demanding position). So yeah, he's absolutely worth that

Not that it was the point of the post but why not? Granted a lower level but he's broke through 18 months younger than Rice, technically he's miles ahead of where Rice was at that point and Rice was a reject of several bigger clubs. Another reason why Rice was a very odd initial comparison. But he probably won't be as good as Rice, no. But he's definitely got more potential so to suggest he'll definitely be nowhere near as good as him is pretty silly

Personally reminds me nothing of Rice. Very different profile of player; more forward thinking, creative, elegant etc
