I'm probably atypical for this place in that I give players a lot of time but his application in the little time he's played has been shocking. No urgency on or off the ball
-
They're given a directive as part of the recruitment process that they have a style of play that matches our 'vision'. But Rudkin and Top are certainly not going into the training ground/dressing room, insisting on tactics and team selection that Rowett has to enact.
-
Na, they're not telling them a certain way to play in this situation. The players are just cowards. No manager is going to get much out of this group.
-
Was better when he went central but his performance for 78 mins was probably the most aimless I've ever seen from a wide player. Even when he beat his man he then did it without any idea of what he was going to next. He should be benched for the rest of the season but made worse by the fact that Monga doesn't even get on the pitch, so that's not happening.
-
Not that it matters much but this ref has been through pits. If that's a foul, the one on Daka was a red

Don't ever mention Fatawu in the same breath as Mavididi. Fatawu's bad performances (of which there have been plenty this year) are far beyond whatever crap Mavididi has served up this year. Performance so far today is one of the worst I've ever seen from a winger
-
I genuinely don't get why you leave Mavididi on
-
Monga not coming on for Mavididi is embarrassing
-
Should have been strolling this game. Makes it worse

This is quite worrying. We look like we could turn the screw at any moment but have given up a couple of pathetic goals
-
He's very mature in some ways but other aspects, you can see he's a kid
-
They've been there for the taking, so absolutely typical we'd gift them a goal

It's like getting your kitchen done by a franchise/corporation, overpaying for it massively and expecting the guys doing the fitting to knock off a big chunk of the fee. At the same time they've fit it to the specifications you asked for and worked very hard. In other words, that analogy makes no sense. People need to separate the finances from Skipp himself. Crap deal in the context of the fee and what we needed last year, but he's been one of the very few players to emerge with any credit this year and certainly can't fault the effort. Not his fault we paid what we did/or are paying him over the odds. Him and JJ alongside each other all season long would have us much higher up the table

Underperformer of the Season – the nominees

Mavididi by a mile. Skipp being on this list in the context of what we've seen this season is silly- 117 replies

So they didn't create many clear cut chances then? No idea where they're getting 3 pens from either. That Hamza 1 looks pretty blatant on replay but they appealed for absolutely everything, barely seen anything like it
-
And Cooper. So the manager should put the club first but the player shouldn't? Makes sense. Irrelevant anyway as no way Winks' early season form made him worth picking. Somebody shared the win % stat and it's way better without Winks in the team this season.
-
And herein lies the problem. Let's say it was this, which is viewed as a favourable view for Winks, it's utterly inexcusable that he downed tools under 3 managers. If he was so hot on standards, surely you lead by example and train hard every day, trying to get the others to your standards, even if addressing your concerns.

Would have been a worldie save if he did. Coming through bodies like that, all he could do is get something on it and hope for the best

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
dmayne7 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
What I don't understand is that he was lauded at Palace for his work rate, yet he is one of the laziest players I've seen. And that's even when cutting him slack because he has a more languid running style. Ghana must be totally screwed if he's their captain. -
I understand that they can't come on and totally run around like a headless chicken, but when you're on for 10 mins, it's inexcusable to not be sprinting and closing down anytime the ball is near you. Unfortunately, seen this a couple of times from Mukasa as well but he'll work on that and he does seem to put the effort in when he starts. Somebody of Ayew's experience, it's just embarrassing.
-
Exactly. The willingness to fight and scrap might be a false dawn but it seems people just want to completely ignore the context/get onboard with we're at. A point away from home against top 3, when we've been totally rancid is a bonus point. Key is to back it up with a win on Tuesday
-
Obviously the second half was a difficult watch; I've not implied anything else? But absolute bollocks that they snatched at their chances. They didn't have many. How many situations where you felt relieved with a poor finishing or indebted to JS for making a good save? Almost none. They were absolutely the better team in the second half, but considering they're against a team that hasn't won in 10, hasn't kept a clean sheet for 30 games and the whole club is in complete free fall, that was a pathetic performance from Ipswich and they got what they deserved. Sort of performance we'd be seething with if the roles were reversed.
-
The counter to the xg is that we had the better chances in the first half, yet the xg was still pitifully low
-
I'm not suggesting it was or that they did nothing. But it would be equally false to suggest that they cut us open time after time and that we're indebted to poor finishing/a great performance from our keeper. They put us under a lot of pressure, but it was an awful lot of huff and puff without peppering the goal.

Must have watched a different game re Fatawu as he worked his socks off. Had one lapse where he let his man go but look at how deep he was. Was poor going forward but that's probably because be was forced to be so defensively minded.
