  1. He's picking a pretty similar lineup to what Cooper has been doing? Change of shape but exactly the same style of play. It's only Coady and Thomas in who haven't really featured.
  2. He's crap at the moment but even Cafu would be getting hammered in this system/structure. When Ricardo came in, we were being exposed in exactly the same way. Think it's compounded by having Faes next to him who's been even worse this season.
  3. That's one all on Faes. He's 2 yards behind the other defenders who are pretty much in a line
  4. Everyone in the team is culpable when it keeps happening. Even when Ricardo came in we still got pumped down that side. Structure of the team is crap
  5. He's being serious, so won't be long before he pisses off
  6. I genuinely couldn't point out 1 entitled fan on this forum. Everybody's a miserable fecker if anything! Always talking us down. Unfortunately we've been set back 10 years after the relegation and financial issues so this year is all about survival, then it's a slow rebuild to hopefully get back to where we were. It's the complete opposite; expectations didn't rise as they should have done otherwise we'd never have accepted the malaise of Rodgers' tenure.
  7. Expectation does not equal entitlement. Things have changed for us now. If anything, there's a complete lack of entitlement given the fans barely seemed to grumble at us going from a Top 5 team and certainly best of the rest, to relegation, financial meltdown etc. Even the way people talk about us winning the title is odd. Yes, we're not one of the countries massive clubs but we still in a pack of 15-20 clubs that could reasonably expect their team to be a good top flight side. It's talked about as though we were historically some league 1/2 club.
  8. 6 players went to the board to complain about his performance. He had also apparently called out with both his assistants which was hugely affecting the mood. Nothing to do with a lack of support (even if that's true). Reading that article, it's clear it was a case of mutual termination, where he'd actually been given the boot.
  9. Just reading about the fallout at PSV and really doesn't sound great at all. Hope there was a lot more to that or it's a load of rubbish, otherwise that's quite concerning.
  10. The man was notorious for looking like a horse 😆. Decent fashion sense has blinded some people. Same thing happened with Enzo
  11. People suggesting Mavididi as a left wing back?
  12. RVN was dismissed by most on here when touted in the summer but now is being lauded. So if things don't go well, expect it to change quickly.
  13. Pretty sure this is just a modern tactic. It's actually so brainless, I really don't get it. You're denying yourself they chance to counter, or even get out of your own box and you're also encouraging the opposition to just bring in an extra player to the box which creates more opportunity and chaos for them.
  14. That also makes no sense. If you're referencing the fact that we've won the PL and FA Cup, why would being 1 point above the relegation zone be ok? As you say, and it's the same with the Rodgers situation (though that was more ridiculous that people thought it was harsh), they clearly haven't seen us play or pay attention to anything to do with the club if they think this isn't a logical move. Never understand why people who are not connected with a club, either as a fan or professionally, think they have a knowledgeable opinion to share when it comes to sacking a manager.
  15. But you have to look at in 2 halves. First season, I don't think we bottled it as we had injuries at the wrong time and that was still a fantastic season. Second season would have been a complete failure if we hadn't won't the FA Cup because we also underperformed in Europe and we gambled financially on CL football, but ended up bottling it completely. Third season was pretty abject let's be honest. Think we were down in 17th or something for expected points. We went out of the group stage of the Europa League as joint favourites and then failed to win the conference league. Bar a little flourish at the end of the season, we were playing dreadfully and would have been in a relegation scrap were it not for the individual quality of certain players. And this was after Rodgers was given more power and completely overspent and destroyed the great infrastructure we had. We also got spanked as cup holders by Forest. The final season was the biggest embarrassment and underperformance I've seen in 25/30 years of supporting Leicester. You only have to look at how some of the players we let go are doing now to realise how implausible it was that you could get relegated with that team. The damage he did to the club and it's future goes beyond what he did on the pitch. Publicly outing the owners, fans, players etc. basically anyone but himself. We're still feeling the effects of how we destroyed the club now. So if you were just ranking as a head coach, then I would agree that 3rd is probably fair, but the question was about his role as manager. No manager has undermined this club and it's future like Rodgers. I'd probably say for each season: 1st - 8.5-9/10 (a 10 if we'd got CL) 2nd - 7/10 (FA cup made it great but bottling the CL was abysmal. Been shown up that teams like Villa and Newcastle have done it with worse players) 3rd - 3-4/10 4th - 1/10 I'd agree that some of the football for a time, was probably the best we've played. But equally, most of the football in the final 12-18 months was probably the worst we've played (worse than even the shite we've seen recently, when you factor in the calibre of player at his disposal)
  16. Rodgers bottom for me. I know it sounds silly but the damage he did, all to feed his ego puts Peter Taylor to shame. Feels like we won the FA cup in spite of him. I'm sure my feelings will soften over time but he's set us back 10 years.
  17. Actually stunned by this (the fact they've pulled the plug). Just makes the appointment utterly bizarre and they've yet again done it straight after an international break . Still, so many decent options out there for where we're at, fingers crossed we get somebody decent
  18. Belgium have had their golden generation and simply don't have the options at the back. I suspect that many managers believe they can be the ones to help fix his concentration and take his game to that next level. But even so, if that all fell into place, whilst it would make him a good defender at this level, he still doesn't have the attributes to be top class.
  19. Definitely should have been a foul. He gave every single one of those to Cucurella so absolutely no consistency. But no surprise everyone digging him out even when he was actually decent for a change.
  20. I'm sorry but he is absolutely shite and no idea why anyone would think differently. As a defender, your job is to be solid above all else. With Faes, you can almost guarantee that he will make a massive error at least once a game, whether that's giving the ball away, being out of hugely position etc. And that's not hyperbole. Bournemouth was probably the only game where he hasn't made a huge gaff. What's the point in being 'dominant' for 90 mins if you're gifting the opposition a massive chance each game. Even then, he's not that dominant. He wants to be a front foot defender but he is nowhere near the level of what Soyuncu and Fofana did in that regards where they genuinely did dominant the attackers. He's a complete liability. Bearing in mind how dismal Vestergaard was last time we were in the prem, it's pretty telling that most people would be delighted if he was picked ahead of Faes.
  21. I think you'll find it's normally the other way around given how he plays
  22. Who's voted keep after that performance?!
  23. So if the ref had been competent and consistent we could have conceivably won a game in that we were absolutely pathetic
  24. He did Fofana with a bit of skill and Fofana blocks his way. What should he do?
