Maybe because he had been in the team of the year in Germany and England? All gone wrong for him but he'd still walk back into this team, let alone if he was back at his peak -

So he can't defend. His actual job in the team. Says it all -

It really isn't. Not been good today but it's the very thing that separates him from most wingers of his age -

Apart from his part in the goal, Ricardo is having a stinker -

Just did a weird little cheer like a bloody tuskan raider when I saw his name. Missus probably thinks I was having a stroke. Better win this now or the excuse to not pick this lineup again will be set in stone. -
It's not been that bad, but it's getting a bit desperate now. We'll leave ourselves in a situation where we need 2/3 strikers and that'll mean that none of them have a just to settle in and get up to speed. Ridiculous pressure on them straight away.

Sounds like you want him to come back and feature next year but then you disagree with Ric who says the exact same thing?
-
I kind of know what you mean. Maybe it's because Centre backs are more 'steady' in terms of the differences in the levels of ability, so if they're reliable, it's feasible they stay for a very long times regardless of the level we're at. Everything I have seen of Nelson says that he's got a very, very high ceiling. The obvious thing watching him last season was about him bulking up and competing more physically but he's quick, can carry the ball, good range of passing and probably most impressive of all; reads the game really well for somebody with such little experience.

Exactly this. It says Engagement rate and we have 2 1/2 times the followers on X so we could get the same number of interactions and our rate would be way lower. Think ours has tailed off in general but we were generally more followed online, than every club outside the 'big 6'. Suspiciously, Wolves have way more subscribers than us on YouTube. I say suspiciously, because in all my years, I've never met a Wolves fan, yet have for most other football league clubs. Never lived in Leicester or remotely close but I've still met plenty of Leicester fans. Lived with 2 different fans in my first 2 years at uni and then another fan in one of my friendship groups. Obviously, I'm going to be more aware of somebody supports Leicester but that tells me that our reach is wider than people think. To be fair, they probably were all plastics . What this does do, is highlight one of my biggest gripes with the ownership and how abysmal the commerciality was after the title win. Should have massively increased sponsorships and grown the fanbase externally (to bring in the money), even if the latter is slightly to the detriment of loyal fans, especially fans like me whose opportunity to go to games is very limited. One of the biggest underlying issues.
-
It is his preferred position though? He's still played most of his games for us there, played for Luton in that position too. His best football (which he's a million miles from), was largely at LB although that season he played everywhere in defence and was immense. I think people fixate on him not using his left foot much because of the role he played under Enzo. He was asked to tuck in and not go on the overlap but he's perfectly comfortable on his left. Also helps if you have Mavididi hugging the touchline that he can underlap but still go on the outside if Mavididi tucks in. I quite like VK but he's been at least as poor as JJ this season. And of course, Ricardo has to be in this team
-
His decision making is the very thing that sets him apart from most wingers his age. It's generally excellent. It's actually when he's being more unselfish that it's not great as there's times when you wish he would run with the ball more.
-
Might have already been posted but I find the final paragraph quite interesting. He actually seems to acknowledge that we're not a club that should be in a relegation scrap, although that of course is the reality this year and what we're all focused on. Still, feels like the first bit of 'ambition' he has shown since he's been here
-
Not a surprise. He's long been talked about and when he played last season, you could see he was more than ready for that level. Would have loved him in our squad but makes much more sense for him to hopefully get 30-40 games
-
Pointless him playing today. Buonanotte was right next to him all game so I don't think I those 2 will be able to play together in the current system. Maybe lacks the personality to impose himself on the game at the moment but his temperament looks great and his use of the ball the is fantastic. I know Genk and Moroccan fans absolutely raved about him. Said that his game is much more about the 'pre-assist' rather than being judged on goal contributions, which I can already see
-
Not I agree that he's had a good season so far. He's had a couple of cracking games but he's also been culpable for other goals, so pretty average overall. If you concede every goal down the right, don't you think that's indicative of a wider issue? Watch the first half today and Buonanotte and BEK are about 5 yards apart; there's never any cover on that side of the pitch and if the guy inside of you is Faes, it's hardly going to be squeaky clean defensively. In a weird way you could actually argue that the issues are inside of him or the left hand side because we're giving up so many chances, and the second Justin is taken out of the game, the opposition score. Like almost everyone, I am maddened by Ricardo's absence but personally would have him in ahead of VK and get Justin back to left, where his best football has been played. All these people saying that RB was his best position either haven't seen him play much, or don't have a clue about football. Completely agree with the rest of the post though.

Hahahahahahahaha
-
Come on lads. Keep the foot on their throat
-
Ridiculous that we're 2-0. They are so crap
-
We're so disjointed. Buonanotte and BEK standing about 5 yards apart so when we get the ball we've immediately lost 1 option

The same Ben Chilwell who has been England's first choice left back at times? If that was the FA's attitude then they'd be telling Tuchel how shit we are and that qualifying for a tournament major tournament would be an incredible achievement, worthy of a huge bonus? Think you totally missed the point. The guy is a twat, notorious for falling out with everyone. He's a foreign manager (from our biggest rivals) for the national team and he clearly has 0 respect for our traditions, as is evidenced by his attitude to the FA Cup and countless other comments he's made. Unfortunately, being a national team manager, means that there are the political parameters to consider as you're the figurehead of the country. Why do you think John Terry was stripped of the captaincy back in the day, despite being the best choice? Tuchel utterly fails that test.
-
Dreadful. He's falls out with everyone after a few months. Madness having a German (and I say that as somebody who likes Germany, just not when it comes to sport!) and it sends yet another message to English coaches. But above all, this is a guy utterly devoid of class. Turning up to the FA Cup final in a Gilet and a cap says it all. Won't be long before he's slagging somebody off.
