You're missing the point. We arent absolutely tied to have a 'double pivot' and that fancy terminology shouldn't be an excuse to get Soumare in the team. If you're on the side offering excuses for his inclusion then you're on the wrong side of the argument.

No. There isn't a clean slate. Soumare has relegated us twice and refused to play in this division. He's been terrible and has shown us contempt. He's lost nearly half the games he's played. He's in the last year of his contract and we've got - Winks, Ndidi, Monga, and Alves all capable of playing that role. He's here to coin it and has open content. There is no clean slate. If he's planning on starting Soumare there's an issue there. He should be nowhere near the pitch. No exceptions .
