Ah yeah. Regardless, it's all ifs and buts. I'm not very confident in Cooper and I'm not sure I would be with Maresca either. I think that the problem is, largely, a deeper lack of faith that the club is being ran correctly.
-
I was never fully sold on Maresca's philosophy but I don't think he'd have been any better or worse than Cooper to be honest. We'd have likely kept Dewsbury-Hall and made some different signings. I think we'd have probably taken a proper pasting by now though.

I'm personally delighted for the Southampton fans. Imagine having the privilege of seeing that.

What happened with the penalty?

My dad used to take me to Belvoir Drive for open training sessions and we had access to the players to talk and to get whatever it was we wanted signed. One of the things that endeared me to the club, for sure. If I had to pay a tenner for a club sponsored card and that was the only thing that the precious Demi-gods deign to scribe on I wager that my Dad wouldn’t have bothered with it all.

The family club. It beggars belief really.

The horror, the horror.

How depressingly cynical from the club. Young fans want autographs from players? Let's monetise it and use it for fan engagement metrics.
-
Oh look. Further Americanization of football. It's been coming for years.

What a dystopian horror when this is what sport has become - a race to the bottom for equity over competition. This is so far divorced from what I fell in love with at Filbo. So ****ing grubby.

Horrendous. Utterly awful. -
This is without question the best game ever made. Without question.
-
Really disappointing end to his time here. Felt he was hiding a lot that season.

What did you expect? This is a club that has had a fan die at the hands of the gambling industry very recently and have shown no compassion in their actions. Really sad stuff what we've become. -
I've been looking on and off at a gaming PC for a good while - it's just so insanely expensive. Everything that I would look at investing in would be £2k. Finance options are ludicrous in every instance I can find - 12% to 25% unless I'm willing to wang out hundreds a month over 6 months. How do people make this even approaching affordable?

The Champions League is essentially a trial run for the super League. Boring, weighted towards the historically big clubs, convoluted, and no real jeopardy. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
-
I don't think it will. But what other outlet do I have for my intense frustration and strong feeling that he shouldn't be on the pitch in any form? I can't communicate with the club because it's become a vicious parody of a family club that actually only wants total genuflection from it's - and I use this word pointedly - customers. I can't front him up at the end of the game because society has elevated footballers to demi-god status whose very existence is preserved and protected as though they are of any importance at all to the wider world. What do you suggest? Even venting spleen on here yields snark from yourself.
-
One of the players that insisted on a move last season because he felt he was better than the championship despite being woefully out of his depth in the Premier League. Should never pull on the shirt again - terrible player and dreadful attitude. I'll be booing him onto the pitch next time.
-
Sometimes an attacker is a defensive move for that reason. Ayew was knackered. Play with two wingers and stretch them.
-
Yes this is excellent. The substitutions were extremely poor. At full time we had an attacking quartet of Eduardo, De Cordova-Reid, Fatuwu, and Soumare. Three of those shouldn't have been on. Winks for Ndidi would have made sense. Pererai for Justin. Both had been booked and we were under the cosh.
-
There's more than a touch of the Rogers here. I make my subs on seventy minutes. Even in the face of overwhelming evidence. I make my substitutions on seventy minutes. It is so frustrating. He needed to make a change at 50 minutes. And it didn't need to be a like for like change. It must be so predictable coming up against him. Their substitutions were made knowing the none of our players were changing.

Oh gosh this situation in the middle east. How far does this escalate? Where does the outcome lie? I'm so nervous of it all

What type of person actually looks at those silly top knot hair cuts that were mildly in vogue then years ago and decides that's what they want? For 99.9% of all blokes in history this is an utterly ridiculous move. The type of bloke that actively chooses to have a silly little tied up piece of hair ALL sit outside of the 0.01% for whom it might look okay. Totally ridiculous.

Ipswich looking way more comfortable going forward than we do.

Everton at home? He's done it at Walsall away.
