  1. Weird that our fans are singing 'champions again'. Doesn't really have a place this season does it?
  2. Wouldn't ask me - my gambling record is dreadful.
  3. The problem is he's so ****ing bone idle he doesn't even work as a wall. At least Akinbiyi tried hard. Junior Lewis did his best even though his best was shit. This guy is worse than both of those in my opinion. And refusing to play in the championship - he wouldn't have made the grade.
  4. I can understand players not quite being good enough but kept in the squad to do a job at the end of the game by virtue of being fresh. What the **** is Cooper seeing in Soumare? Does he actually have to come out and say 'I couldn't give a **** about playing for this club but I think I'm better than the championship' in an interview. His work rate ****ing reeks.
  5. Just another step towards the deification of footballers. They're treated like they're people of intense importance in society with they really are not.
  6. Festival of diversity, sadly.
  7. I let them know Santa isn't really too.
  8. Brace yourselves. I said it last season and I'll say it this one too. It's going to hurt. No other club has had a player like this. He's irreplaceable. Utterly unique. It's going to hurt when he's done. Enjoy every single minute he's on the pitch this season because it's just about done. Jamie - it's been a ****ing pleasure.
  9. Neither of the midfielders, actually. Anyone know the correct answer for a Brucey bonus point.
  10. Ulloa and maybe Hammond or King?
  11. He looks thrilled.
  12. Yeah it was during that ten year period of mid table obscurity in the championship. Probably as a way of trying to persuade the fans not to leave.
  13. Oh no. Chelsea are the 'club he now loves'. He'll be gutted.....haaaa
  14. Unlikely champions Rudkin presiding over A reverse phoenix
  15. Absolutely - looking to finish Sunday. Currently in a world of pain though. Split my rim on a rock or brick and have been dealing with that. It's currently being repaired by what must be the only bike shop in forty miles. A very, very lucky break. Averaging 75 miles a day or so from the start. It's been testing.
  16. Shame that place went. Used to be a right good evening.
  17. Sometimes the vox populi is right. Cooper wasn't the first choice for practically any of us. There's a reason for that - his premier league record. To then come in and look like he's going to drop just about our only premier League quality player. Well it just compounds what everyone suspected.
  18. I find it frustrating when football managers try to do something different to prove their job isn't as basic as playing players in their best position. You don't see something that the layman is missing, Cooper, he's a ****ing great fullback so play him there.
  19. I've not been keeping faithful notes here because this is ****ing brutal. Arrived in Newcastle tonight. Started last Sunday so this will be the eighth full day. The only way I can accurately describe it is that it's been like you imagine cycling 600m in 8 days feels. It's painful and arduous. My backside is red raw.
  20. Can't stand his diving and that miserable, sulky face when he's not believed for his diving. Rather not.
  21. Someone needs to start an archive of the greatest FT interactions.
  22. Day 3 & 4 were particularly hard. About 130 miles but with very little climbing. It levels out at the edge of Somerset. Currently in Cheltenham - the ride to, through, and from Bristol was on mainly busy and unimpressive roads. It's just difficult with so many miles in the legs in 4 days. The hills are easier. 80 miles tomorrow and a day at home. The picture of my bike was too big to upload but - Cannondale Topstone 2 with GRX hydraulic brakes and grx groupset. Two back panniers for cooking bits, flip flops, sleeping mattress and bag, toiletries, charger, and sundries. A front bar bag for riding clothes and some other clothing. The middle bag has gels and powders. The tent on the back is a 2 man tent that just about fits one man.
  23. Day 2 - 77 miles / 4945 ft climbing. The first two days have been like real big sessions in the peaks. Up and down is about right. Camping in an orchard which has a certain nostalgia value I suppose. I'll take a picture of the bike tomorrow morning packed up and show you!
  24. Evening all, Currently cycling from Land's End to a John o'Groats. I've just finished the first day - 72 miles and 4,200 foot of climbing - and about to bed down in Bodmin. Saw a few decent land marks - St Michael's Mount is just about visible in the second picture - and scanned some fish and chips by the sea. Absolutely perfect day for it and a really nice ride out. Tomorrow looks a bit more testing. Has anyone else done this route and have anything to suggest or recommend? Any tips greatly received.
  25. Will be forever remembered.
