That was such an underlining of the best days for our club. So many credited players out saying goodbye to the person responsible for our success. A comprehensive goodbye to success at Leicester. I can't wait for the next chapter but make no mistake, that was a goodbye to more than Jamie vardy.
-
I admired our fans for that. The message landed as clearly as it could have.
-
Goodbye Jamie. It has been such a ****ing privilege. Each and every second has been such fun to watch.

Yeah I'll echo that. He got that choice correct. Didn't detract from the occasion.

Beggars belief. I totally accepted the rhetoric that those leaving at 15 minutes to go NEED to leave. If there's something unavoidable you need to go. Remarkable really, that it those obligations are suddenly not obligatory. A cynic would suggest that they ought to be in the ground supporting the team every game rather than for a curio and a free flag. -
The big argument is that it isn't anything to do with the game or the occasion but they just NEED to leave. Why aren't they leaving now?
-
Why haven't all the leavers left for their unavoidable commitments which mean they must leave early?

Jamie Vardy: A Legend's Final Home Appearance

Let's call the ground the 'Goat Pen' for the day and the wider area the 'Farmyard'. Lol memez JV9 -

For gods sake. "190 thank yous will never be enough" by UFS was genuinely moving. It was perfect for what fans think. This is a god awful phrase plucked from Internet comment sections that has no real meaning to us and Vardy. Lol GOAT farmers league R7. Shameful. -

My god. That is remarkably poor. Could they not be bothered to find one of the literal hundreds of goal celebrations that they must have saved. -

Yes but it's the world famous Goat programme bought to you by the jvgoat luxury range. -
The club has seen 'GOAT' is a thing online. Largely amongst foreign fans arguing about Messi AND Ronaldo. They've assumed that everyone thinks this is a) part of fan vernacular and b) engaging enough to part cash for. The size of it is to grab attention. I'm almost certain the club will have looked at phrase usage metrics on social to identify 'fan culture' and thought this was a brilliant piece of marketing. It's classless, hideous, and another step towards the global soccerball roster FC we're desperate for. Vardy deserves something that is solely about him; not some ridiculous meme reference popularised by Internet comment sections.

Kevin Phillips is 51. There is a more than significant vintage that remember him scoring for us.

I had a tour of the training ground what seems like eons ago. One of the things the operation manager pointed out is that the physical lay out was an indicator of the path to the first team. You've got to hope this is a planned escalation recently and he's lunching with the firsts etc. We really need to speak to our youth and the marginal. People like Luke Thomas are so important to the future. We're not going to attract the likes of Maddison for a while. We need to build them.
-
I would say this - he cares. There are players in the team I can't say that of. He starts for that reason.
-
Just a few sensible decisions from the board I'd imagine.

LCFC 2-0 Southampton, post-match thread

The Southampton fans loudly protested a duff sub for thirty minutes. Impressive commitment from then. -
Southampton fans have now had a full half an hour complaining about that substitution of Fernandez. Our fans can only dream of that type of money
-
Southampton fans ****ing furious about that Fernandez being taken off.
-
I understand the sentiment but it's just a sad cultural shift. Raving is now seen as a santised cash grab. Johnny Rotten shilling butter all over again.
-
I don't begrudge him it either. Best off not risking getting stuck with us next season.
-
Isn't this just safeguarding his Chelsea move like Chilwell.

The appropriation of 'rave' culture in America. From an underground movement to pre-planned packages at things like Miami Ultra where everything is contrived so influencers can talk about 'rave moms' and totally miss the point of the actual movement. So far from the Orbital parties. Sickening.
