The promise of a final and some silverware was what did it. Great luck for the lad obliterating his leg in the semi.

We didn't get him from Norwich.

Concerns about the direction of the club
foxile5 replied to Lambert09's topic in Leicester City Forum
Thankfully the in-bowl experience looks to be delivered radically by our team of match day enhancement officers. Now featuring American style cheerleaders and entire game length fan cam. For just £15.99 you can upgrade your ticket to the 'King Power Fan's Club' where you'll recieve a link to download the fan cam for ONLY £4.50. But that's not all - as KPFC paid members you'll also receive a picture of the Thai king so you can genuflect both at the game and at home. KPFC members will also be able to recreate the in-bowl dynagame fan engagement experience at home as they are permitted to keep the clappers when they leave. To ensure exclusivity we INSIST on non KPFC members surrendering their clappers. And do not worry about safety. King Power acknowledge that the average fan is a piece of shit and don't want our new profile of fans to suffer in-bowl distresses when watching the ninety minutes of soccer match action experience. To intimidate and cow the great unwashed, three 'fan safety engagement perimeters' have been installed at choke points on raw dykes road. At each perimeter is an 18 year old to offer you assistance in recognising where the bowl is, an 'artefacts of interest and safety' officer who will check you aren't carrying anything in that damages your safety and the profit margins, and a retina scanner just to be safe. But safety doesn't stop there. You'll be held up in the bowls outer perimeter by ten minutes FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE. At the bowl's gates you'll be met by our team of multinational entry specialist operatives. They speak 247 languages between them. Here's hoping you get the right one! They will ensure your intra-bowl passage by showing you all the ways the phone ticket doesn't work before letting you in anyways. And remember - you can always snitch on your fellow fan by texting the grassline plastered all around the stadium. We take your safety SO SERIOUSLY Leicester fans that we think it would probably best you stayed away. -
For members of a certain vintage - the club initially tried to name the stadium 'The Walkers Bowl'. There was absolute outcry at the attempt to name the stadium something so ghastly. I doubt they'll be so open to criticism this time round.

Stop the LCFC Loyalty Tax - UFS statement

Doubtless they'll be twitching thumbs at King Power now looking at the potential for 'away season tickets". It'll be so appealing to them to control the profile of fan they're after. -

So Called World Class Players that you never rated

I think he is that good at what he does. Unfortunately, it takes a whole team to be set up to service that and it comes at the detriment of those around him. -
I was wrong here - I just needed to not fight the tree sentinel immediately.

Right - I've started to put some serious hours in. This is brilliant. Utterly fantastic. It has the feeling of endless opportunity and possibility which I haven't felt since the very early open-world style games. The real strength seems to be that it delivers on this. I genuinely feel like I'm adventuring. There doesn't seem to be any closeted or closed avenues or areas for area's sake. It is ALL magnificent from that perspective. I understand that some people have criticised the lack of a narrative or storyline beyond following vague directions. For me that enhances the game; I get for others it is frustrating. I've heard a lot about the 'difficulty' of these style games. The bosses are hard but I haven't felt like they're impossible - just that my character is underlevelled and, as so, I need to level up. I'm hoping I'm not wrong about that. Right now I haven't got a criticism I can level at it, really. I'll be sinking hours in over the coming weeks. Utterly jawdropping stuff. I'm still only right at the start, too.

Yeah that should read 'broader stage'. The entire conversation is difficult to articulate because it's players who are in the discussion but not quite making it. -

I’ll echo this. There have been moments of sublime brilliance but I think he’s an engineered talent. He’s very, very good but I don’t think he has ever lived up to the billing of second Messi/Renaldo that the media desperately wants him to. Imagine having a documentary about you ‘becoming Killian’ whilst never having really excelled on the domestic stage. He has won a few French leagues for sure but he’s never come close in the Champions League - despite playing in a front 3 of himself, Messi, and Neymar. There’s a desperation surrounding him to be successful for reasons I’m not certain of. As a caveat - yes, he’s won the World Cup. Yes, he scored a hat-trick in the final. -
Foxes Trust Update – Shirt Sponsorship
foxile5 replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yeah - that's correct. The state the club in is dreadful. High level executives actively pursuing support from people that aren't part of the fan base and trying to move on those who are already there by pricing them out. At very BEST - courting sponsorship from dodgy betting firms. At worst - arranging sponsors as a means of washing money in some grubby little deal. Where does this end for Leicester as we know it? -

This is extremely bad if so. What has happened to us? An abandonment of all moral compass. -

It was the game day pineapple that was dodgy. Only hair cut to have its own chant. -

Dodgiest hair cut since either Jamie Lawrence or Vardy's corn rows? -
Oh this is just encouraging some excessive posting. Excellent strategy.

You're right. Instrumental player in the title win and definitely justified in citing it for his mettle.

Oh mate sorry. I was making a Life of Brian joke, Davie! I'm not one of them.

In the absence of a better offer - much like Tielemans was in the last 2 seasons of his contract. That's the comparison I'm trying to make here. Tielemans sat around for two years (metaphorically) waiting for a better offer and it showed in his performances. If Wilf signs on in the absence of a better offer we'll be in much the same position. A player who is with us as a last recourse rather than wanting to play for us. I'm surprised you didn't get that.
-
I would like to keep him but if he's casting about and stalling then get rid. We don't want another Tielemans situation with a player uninterested in play for any great period of time.
