  1. Is there a defence for the CFO, Rudkin & Whelan to survive if we have failed (again)? I'm not sure how much longer fans can deal with a lack of accountability or consequence for the people running the club so dreadfully. If a deduction is imminent, the outcome cannot just be that the fans suffer the consequence. Heads have got to roll.
  2. It would be so good if the socials posted a happy birthday tweet/post for him. Would perfectly sum up the relationship between club and fans.
  3. We miss Wilf so much it's crazy. Not even Wilf from earlier this season, we miss the version of him where his sole job is winning the ball & preventing counter attacks. He takes so much pressure off the more creative players in the team, not to mention the ease it brings to any two centre halves, knowing they have him in front of them instead of Winks/Soumare who are regularly anywhere but where they're supposed to be.
  4. We deserved something out of both the City & Villa games. Having said that, I don't think we deserved more than 2 points from West Ham/Brighton. Things aren't better from a points perspective (The only thing that matters!!), but context is important. The last 4 fixtures are basically as tough as we could've faced. 3 of our best 4 players are injured. Not sure now is the time to definitely say things can't get better, particularly with a decent set of fixtures coming up.
  5. It was dumb luck that the performances we had under Cooper didn't lead to batterings. That and a keeper playing out of his skin. xG is by no means the be all and end all, but is a very good indicator of a team's ability to create chances & how good they are at preventing them. We lost 4-2 to Arsenal under Cooper, on the surface - not a battering. Diving into the stats, the xG was Arsenal 6.05 (!!!!) to our 0.34 (!!!). Dumb luck. You then compare that to the 'battering' we recieved under Ruud against Wolves where Wolves had 4 shots on target, create an xG of 1.14 and win 3-0. Sometimes you don't get what you deserve and Cooper's reign is indicative of that. Despite a significantly worse pool of players to select from against significantly stronger opposition (On the whole), we look like a team with a game plan. Despite the media's depiction of us suddenly being terrible defensively, we are conceding fewer chances per game than under Cooper & have maintained a decent goal threat (Once again, despite having fixtures against City, Newcastle, Liverpool & Villa). I can understand the frustration with Ruud (I am still furious about Wolves, particularly his goalkeeper selection), but lets judge him at the end of January. At that stage he'll have had a much fairer crack of the whip in terms of fixtures and hopefully have some more bodies to choose from.
  6. I am not sure how any Leicester fan who watches the games can genuinely believe this. If you just look at the results, sure. If you watch the games (And also consider who we've played, the injuries we have) then you cannot look at the team and not see improvement.
  7. The Hermansen injury absolutely stinks. Seriously concerning.
  8. sorry if this has been said but Vardy dived
  9. Yeah, please for the love of god don't take any solace in the club's hierarchies 'confidence' on avoiding charges. I think we've seen enough examples in the last 3 or 4 years that where they place their 'confidence' is drastically misplaced more often than not.
  10. Oh yeah of course. The players have got away with murder at this football club for 4 years. The manager (rightly) takes a lot of the blame, whether it was Rodgers or Cooper, but the lack of pride & professionalism we've seen over the last few years has led to barely any accountability on the players. For reference see: applauding the players at Fulham & when we were relegated.
  11. He doesn't deserve to be in this position. If he's been lied to then he should walk with our blessing.
  12. The gaslighting continues from the incompetent suits running the club. 'Annoyed about sacking Cooper'. 'Penalised for showing ambition'. **** off the lot of you. Won't someone at this club show some sodding accountability.
  13. In fairness, I don't think the OP is necessarily saying that Cooper is exempt from criticism. I think they're attempting to balance the aggressive criticism of Cooper with the particularly generous criticism that Ruud has received. They're right - Man City were there to be beat. Newcastle weren't on a good run of form. The West Ham win was fortunate. Ruud also deserves enormous criticism for selecting Ward. Borderline unforgiveable. None of that, in my opinion, takes away from the fact that Ruud's hand is significantly worse *than* Cooper's, and also significantly worse *because* of Cooper. His hand is worse in that he's had tougher fixtures & injuries to our best players. His hand is worse because of Cooper, in that the squad he has inherited was coached out of any form of confidence over the first 10 games. His hand is worse because of Cooper because of the caliber of player that Cooper was a) able to bring in and b) wanted to bring in. Ruud is doing a fine job but the next month is make or break. Ipswich & Wolves will likely pick up very few points over the next 4 games. There's an argument all of our next 4 are all winnable.
  14. Ruud needs to find a way of getting him out of the team. If that means square pegs in round holes then its worth a go. I do worry that we've missed opportunities in 'free hits' to experiment a little with 5 at the back, or someone else at RB. Now we enter an absolutely crucial run of games with only QPR at home to try something new.
  15. Loved listening this morning, Ric. Really pissed me off ahead of a day at work, thanks a lot. The point about where the ****inghell the new signings are needs to be echoed. Once again, we will be called entitled by other fanbases for expecting deals to be done by January 6th in a 33 day window... however. Bournemouth, Southampton & Spurs have all already made signings. We have known (Or rather we *should* have known) since the Fulham game that we desperately need bodies. Since then we've had significant injuries to our best winger, right back, goalkeeper & holding midfield player. It is completely unacceptable that no one is even close to getting through the door. It's like those that run the football club have been gaslighting the fans for about 4 years now and I'm genuinely exhausted by it.
  16. There is no way that even the incompetent cretins who run this club could have messed up PSR in 23/24. I would be concerned if we hadn't sold KDH & Maresca but there is surely no way we let those two leave if we knew we were going to fail it anyway. Surely. (Surely)
  17. It is ****ing pathetic that we haven't got anyone through the door yet. If we have no new bodies in before QPR (And certainly before Palace), I think we can assume we don't do anything this window. How is it possible that we are in this position again. I'm ****ing sick of the two midgets who run this club, it's embarrassing.
  18. Yeah I'm not expecting UFS to do anything, it was more a point of intrigue as to what would prevent them doing so. I hadn't considered the banning stuff, which is definitely a good point. However we don't live in North Korea. It is surely improbable to suggest that protesting ownership would lead to expulsion from the stadium? That is a seriously dangerous position to be in, if that is the actual case.
  19. I don't sit in the Kop so can't pretend it's something I'd be able to action personally, but what is stopping UFS/L1 etc producing a banner? Is it financial? I'm not gonna pretend I'm schooled in how easy or difficult these things are, but we need to start somewhere in terms of getting the message out publically that the guy has got questions to answer.
  20. it does make you just want to throw the towel in when your most senior member of staff is this incompetent. the club's basically built in his image these days, a total mess.
  21. It’s not quite this bad, but Ruud & Cooper’s insistence on playing him every game is reminiscent of Ward’s run in the team. He is costing us every single week. I don’t care if we don’t have another option, figure out a way of getting him out of the team. Change formation, try someone new there. Anything.
  22. It's definitely not unusual to have absences, you're right. The absences we have *all* being our best players is an absolute sickener. I could deal with our 7 injuries if maybe one or two were starters & the rest were squad players, but thats simply not the case. We've got about 7 players that are of PL quality and they've all either been injured or are out for the season. Ricardo played about 40 games last year. He wasn't a starter in the two years previous to that cos a scouse yob broke his leg & then Bilbo rushed him back. If we had him at RB all year instead of Justin we wouldn't be in the bottom three. Fatawu an absolute killer of a miss. That's our entire right flank wiped out by injury. Replaced by Justin (an absolute shadow of his former self) and regularly McAteer (A league one/championship footballer at best). Then the midfield, Ndidi is absolutely part of our 1st XI under a competent manager in the PL. Your comment regarding Soumare/Bilal/Buenonotte is recency bias after good outings against Liverpool & City. Winks also injured for crucial matches against West Ham, Brighton & Wolves. Hermansen is going to miss 10-15% of the season in which time we're playing the two teams we're competing against to survive in Wolves & Everton. Re your point as to how it adds up to 1/3 of the team missing... Hermansen, Ricardo, Fatawu, Ndidi all unavailable.
  23. Agree regarding the defeatist mentality, but it would be as impressive as the great escape if we stay up from here, regardless of how close we are to 17th. We've got about a third of our first XI out for the foreseeable and another 2 or 3 crucial players missing. It feels like we're heavily entirely dependent on Jon Rudkin pulling a Robert Huth esc signing out of his arse in January.
  24. sneaking an extra 3 wins doesn't sound like much until you realise it's a 100% increase on our first half of the season
