O’Hora is a complete unknown and Souttar has been abysmal. Faes has left plenty of scar tissue but I find it hard to believe he cannot dominate at this level if his head is right. He’s probably a million miles off being mentally prepared but I’d be willing to take the gamble. To be honest - I can’t believe I would be picking him but that’s how much of a shambles this football club is right now. The issue is whoever he selects will probably bring the same results given the style of play and tactics.

We’ve had some shocking individual performances over the years but that was right up there. Forgetting the hopeless first touch, feeble passing and quite frankly laughable physicality - his positioning and football IQ is hardly believable for a so called professional footballer. There were countless moments today that Burns (also awful) recieved the ball and BDR ran directly behind their full back (not down the line) making it impossible for Burns to find him. There was acres of space in the number 10 pocket with a clear passing lane to receive the ball and then drive towards goal with not an Oxford CM in sight. If he took a glance and held his position then a promising attack was there (although I’m sure he would have stumbled into an Oxford defender and turned the ball over). Just total rubbish. I’m sure he’s a nice bloke but should not be anywhere near our matchday squad (which says a lot given the tripe on show).

Faes and Kanga to start the next game with JJ and Aluko at full backs. Thomas and Souttar are a total disgrace

It’s really hard to comprehend the mess we are in. I’ve often explained to my non city supporting friends just what has gone on but it’s now simply impossible to put into words the damage Top and co have inflicted on this football club. Totally numb to any sort of pain now. Part of me finds it funny we’re about to go down and part of me is infuriated at the sheer mess (self inflicted) we are in.

Agreed. With Cummins and Hazelwood back too… And Lyon who will play a bigger role… Have to give Starc credit. He was the one of the main three who I thought would start to show decline, but he’s been superb.

It’s a really odd approach given our ‘bazball’ has tempered slightly in the last 12 months or so. There were signs our top order had found that happy medium. Seems an odd time to revert back against this attack and on this pitch. Hard to see Australia being rolled twice so fearful we have thrown this away!

Yes, talent has flashed but I have seen minimal evidence that suggests Bilal is as good as many seem to make out.
