Not enough being said about the pass from Cover to Vardy in that first half to put him in behind on the keeper. If that was Braybrooke who played that ball we’d all be spunking over having Leicester’s Modric FM regen!

I was massively impressed with Brandon Cover. I don’t think it’s been spoken about enough just how good that pass was to put Vardy in behind. Vardy of yesteryear and current Tommy Cannon/Daka would have buried that ****er. Not really sure what Enzo felt he did wrong, if he’s looking at who was to blame for our inefficiency in that double pivot I would have said Hamza was well off it for a 26 year old with his experience level now. -

Thought Cover was very unlucky to be took off at half time as I felt he outplayed Hamza, that being said Ricky P really changed the game. Perfect example of “a game of 2 halves”. -

Why the **** is Hamza Choudhury still on the pitch? Cover was twice the player he was in the first half for ****s sake. -
£40 million is fair value for him, if we are as screwed financially as feared, then £30 million has to be done but it’s a win for Brighton in my eyes.

One thing that should be said is that training in Italy is stupidly intense. They are used to a culture of absolutely running players into the ground. If a team lost and the owner wasn’t happy about it they would force them into training the next day for running drills as punishment for example. It’s only fairly recent that sport science has started to really be respected and embraced there. Sensi is a hell of a player and as long as we look after him we should reap the benefits of his signing.

On the topic of Italy, Paulo Dybala is available for €12 million. I fancy it, big time.

With Ndidi gone Enzo could play KDH and Yunus together but there is the risk that it’s a bit lightweight and you’d be taking KDH away from what he is doing now as he would need to play the slightly deeper 8 role so Yunus could be higher up the pitch. That’s why I think initially Enzo is gonna play Casadei with KDH as he’s a bigger body and more robust. Like Yunus though, said initially when he signed he reminded me of Bernardo Silva and definitely think in English football at least he would be better playing centrally.

If he follows up today’s performance with another strong showing I don’t think there will be any looking back for Tommy Cannon. Both goals today were impressive and he made some very intelligent movements for a striker in this tactical system. He knew when to drop into pockets and when to stretch the opposition defence. The striker in this team and the way it is set up to play, needs to be hard working and sharp in front of goal, it is ironic that David Nugent would have scored stupid numbers if we could slot him in his prime, him and Cannon do have strong similarities.

Just being honest, for me, if you aren’t falling in love with Enzo as our manager now, then there’s something wrong. We’ve got some great footballers in the side and some young ones waiting in the wings, playing for a manager who demands high standards and wants there to be passion within the club. With our position in the league, the results we’ve had and the style of football he wants to play, the job he’s done here is immense.

Daka’s been quality tonight on the whole his link up play has been good and he’s obviously put a lot of work into improving that side of his game.

What an assist from Abdul. Tenacious.

Enzo should learn from this, clear mistake to bring both Casadei and Iheanacho on. Should have brought Cannon on who relentlessly presses the opposition and still gives you the threat in behind and he should have brought Hamza on for Ndidi to keep the high energy in midfield. A point isn’t bad by any means but considering what it could have been it leaves falling asleep on a slightly bitter note. -
Wanya Marcal signs new contract until 2026
GingerrrFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Club were playing hard ball with him and his contract. The feeling seemed to be why should he be given minutes over other youngsters who had committed their future to the club already? Glad it’s sorted and he can either push for a place or go out on loan to gain more experience of men’s football.- 88 replies

Shame the AFCON is coming up. No coincidence that we look razor sharp now he’s in the side. His work rate to press the opposition combined with him being stupidly fast is too much for this league.

Just caught up on this thread, I’ve not been in it for a while. It’s mad to see some people’s opinions on Hermansen, I just assumed everyone knew he was mustard. Whether you judge a player by the physical stuff like how he carries himself or the data side of things, he’s hands and above the best keeper in this league and looks like he has the scope to play Champions League football to me.
-
If it wasn’t for a great block last night from a Millwall defender he would have had his first goal from the left footed shot in the box. He looks perfect to fill the striker role in this system because he can drop in deep spaces comfortably like Kel and has the pace to run in behind (albeit he’s not as quick as Daka).

I think a lot of our fans in the stadium don’t like the style of football we are playing and are taking for granted the position we have in the league. It’s still painful to hear people moaning about the way the manager wants us to play when we are winning in games. I have a feeling Enzo won’t be loved like he should be by the vast majority of our fan base.
-
Made 2 good runs to be put in behind and would have been 1v1 with the keeper, unfortunately at 4-0 some of our lads had become greedy ****ers.
-
Worrall can go **** himself. He’s more Forest than Wes ever was. Also he doesn’t fit Maresca’s playing style.

I’ve been convinced for a while that Alves’s immediate future lies on the LW, especially under Maresca. Being 1v1 with the oppo fullback and having the shackles off defensively compared to having to be more structured as an 8 suits him massively. -
It’s not rugby, the ball doesn’t need to and shouldn’t always go forwards “straight away”. Playing from the back effectively is done to invite the press and to manipulate the opposition, to then work the ball into areas of space that have been left behind.
