Sammy could play for a top club at League 1 level easily, tbh I think he could even do a job for a mid-table Championship side. -

Shambles from the club that they aren’t acknowledging fixtures in an EFL competition. -
Leicester 1- 1 Tottenham Post Match Thread

First half we looked like a team that would go down without a whimper. Second half, we played some seriously impressive football. The Vardy chance where he was 1 on 1 with Vicario had some sublime play between Winks, Buonanotte and Reid. That could be a huge result for our season because we’ve just come through a proper side in this league, in our first game, so that will give the players some real belief. Especially as we are low on real options in certain areas of the pitch. If Cooper can get us consistently playing to the level we showed in that second half then we will stay up and I will eat some serious humble pie as I thought he would be gone by November. -
If he takes a quite clearly unfit Vardy off and the bomb scare when he’s played in a double pivot Ndidi off we might have a chance. Get Pereira and either Mavididi or Cannon on please Steve.

Can’t exactly blame the lad for looking like he’s about to top him sen. He’s Spurs through and through and he’s been told he’s coming to join our dysfunctional club who are heading straight back to the Championship.
-
Apparently Celtic want £40-50 million for O’Riley due to length of time still on his contract, can’t see anyone paying that tbh.
-
There’s 2 valid reasons for people to be concerned about this signing. 1) He’s the exact same type of midfielder we already have, defensively minded and not an attacking or creative midfielder 2) £25 million is a big old outlay with our current financial situation and we still need a more creative, attack minded midfielder and at least 1 starting level striker.
-
All well and good but it’s the first game of the season tomorrow and we have missed out on at least 1 of our preferred targets.
-
Regardless of my thoughts on Skipp as a player, why are we signing another defensive central midfielder, for £20 million, when we currently have 1 recognised striker available who Cooper doesn’t fancy (Cannon)?
-
Surely as an attacking option at LB we could do a lot worse than Robert Skov?
-
How depressing that Ipswich now have a better equipped squad than us for the current season.
-
Agreed, it’s such a pathetic response to fans genuine concerns about where this football club is headed. “Yeah but 10 years ago we won the league”. All that matters is the here and now, at one point Woolworths was one of the biggest retail businesses, then through piss poor management and not future proofing, they went bust.

I don’t think people realise how the tide is turning against those in charge of Leicester City. Basically anyone I speak to that follows the club is already expecting relegation and thanks to Enzo outing those in charge, in the media before he left, it’s becoming apparent that the majority of issues are caused at board level to the common fan. Only 1 in 3 Leicester fans are optimistic according to the Athletic, so that’s two thirds of fans already in a negative space about the club.
-
It was sarcasm.

Tom Cannon masterclass incoming, he’s looked sharp in pre-season and been given loads of minutes to prepare. Oh no, wait, Steve will probably play Mavididi out of position again. 👍🏻
-
Or maybe, just a thought, the handling of this current transfer window is just another example of our club having people in charge who aren’t fit for the position or salary they hold and more and more fans are fed up of the constant bollocks from the football club?
-
I’d love it but I can’t see it. Cooper’s most likely rolling out the same side that got pumped by Lens and I can’t see past Spurs giving us a hiding with Maddison’s smug **** face lapping it up.
-
You know when we are 3-0 down on Monday night. It’s gonna get very ****ing nasty towards the board and I don’t think they are remotely prepared for it.

The tax issues are around residency and wealth. If you’ve left the country to live elsewhere and come back before a set period of time has elapsed, you have to pay HMRC tax on income earned whilst you were living abroad. So essentially he would be taxed twice on his money.
-
I’d say it’s more likely we go for both Hlozek and the Greek lad. Cooper likes a big boy up top and I can see Hlozek playing the wide striker role that he had Brennan Johnson playing for the red *****.

We keep hiring managers who have no intention of utilising the talented players in the academy and it’s gone beyond just frustrating now. You look at teams like Liverpool and the 2 Manchester clubs and they roll the young lads out in pre-season and expose them to the first team, there’s a clear pathway to the first team at these clubs, you just have to be good enough to get there. Man Utd literally built a business model from giving their academy lads a few first team runs out with the full knowledge that they were just doing it to increase the transfer fee they would sell them on for. It’s criminal that Sammy B, Alves, Nelson and Golding haven’t had more game time this pre-season. Use the young lads, they are the future!
-
What the dopey twat should play if he sticks with his current idea of pushing the LB high: Hermansen Nelson (Tucking in to make a back 3 with the ball) Vestergaard Faes JJ Winks Pereira Fatawu Buonnanotte Mavididi Daka/Cannon/Zaha (🤞🏻)
-
Genuinely, did you really expect a squad that’s just won the Championship and been exposed to a really progressive way of playing football to buy into anti-football tactics?
-
Honestly you couldn’t make it up with our fan base. This club was in the pits of hell in footballing terms when Maresca came in. We’d gone from being a side pushing for Top 4 and winning the FA cup to being relegated within a season. The majority of our best players had left and Maresca came in and changed the vibe around the club instantly. All through pre-season there were signs that what he wanted to do excited the players and they bought into it. He then wins the league in arguably the most competitive Championship this country has seen in decades and gets lambasted by footballing dinosaurs because “possession football is boring” and “anyone would have got that squad up”. Fast forward 3 months and those that couldn’t wait to see the back of Maresca are now making excuses for this shithouse that we now have in charge by trying to make out the squad he’s inherited, that “anyone would have got up” is now dog shit and was always doomed for relegation.
-
If Steve Cooper didn’t feel he could work with the talent that we have within the squad and the players emerging from the academy such as Nelson, Braybrooke and Alves then he should never have took the ****ing job. Imagine walking into a work place as the man in charge and constantly saying to anyone who will listen that what you have around the gaff isn’t good enough and we need new staff. It genuinely beggars belief.
