  1. How odd - I live on the street above the 'West Reservoir'. I could have waved.
  2. He's right and it's a real blot on home games this season. We were absolutely dire last season and people seem to quickly forget how removed a lot of fans felt from the club and the players by the time we were relegated. Now we're trying a different style with a largely different team, and we're being spoilt with the results. No matter where I sit this season there's always one or two morons close by shouting "GET IT FORWARD" or "KICK ITTTT" when we're in complete control of the game against teams that largely sit back and try to hold out til the last 10 minutes. Just enjoy the fact we're winning and we now seem to have a number of players who give a sh1t. It's crazy how bad the atmosphere is when we've won 22 of 29 league games.
  3. Saves us a few quid on clean sheet bonuses. FFP masterclass.
  4. To be fair, I’m pretty sure our academy would be pinging the ball around against sixth tier Maidstone. We’re playing a mostly first team Championship team.
  5. It’s funny because often there’s “a few more details being worked out in the contract” type remarks with transfers. I’ve seen a lot of contracts over the years and football transfers and player contracts are proper back of a fag packet stuff. They take 20 minutes, with a bit of time to spare - plug a few numbers in.
  6. Not sure on the date of that article but United 100% wanted Maddison. At least, Ole and his team were pushing hard. Glazers refused and they ultimately got Sancho.
  7. He’s the key man in this team. I really worry for us this season if he goes. Jesus what a nightmare this would be.
  8. Agree with this. I think our only complaint of the two key decisions is how he has decided one tackle is more reckless/dangerous than the other to justify a yellow and a red. Unfortunately the only difference is he’s just given a penalty and wanting to even it up.
  9. Real shame Robins is at Coventry. Speaks very well and reasonably.
  10. Showing he has the brain of a bird jumping in like that with a minute to half time and completely in control. Footballers never cease to amaze me.
  11. Have to just take that result on the chin. Four big slices of luck: Morsy not getting his 5th yellow against Leeds when the ref took pity on them, the non-red card (twice), the non-penalty and the deflected goal. We’ve had an incredible December so far and ultimately pulled away from everyone. Get a couple of wins from Cardiff and Huddersfield and we’ll be laughing.
  12. Penalty couldn’t be any more blatant and if we score it kills the game. Very very poor for the ref to not see it.
  13. Ref’s going to put me in the ground before Xmas.
  14. We’re too nice. Players and crowd. They need to be reminding this ref constantly of the time wasting. 2 minutes added on after it takes as long for one of their long throws.
  15. So frustrating to watch. Ref has zero control over the time wasting which is killing the game.
  16. Morsy very lucky to not be booked and miss our game
  17. Hopefully Ipswich get the next goal otherwise they’ll make a load of early subs for Boxing Day.
  18. Told you he needed subbing off what do I know…
  19. Get Mavididi off at half time before he gets sent off and puts us on the back foot. Otherwise there’s a few goals in this for us. KDH brilliant.
  20. FFS Watford
  21. Watford look decent but don’t get enough players forward. The wide players have nothing to aim at.
  22. Jammy that. Shite first shot.
  23. Why do people worry about fans being complacent? Big Dave in Narborough shouting off online that we're going to win the league by 20 points isn't going to impact anything. So long as the players and manager stay grounded we're fine.
  24. Thank you Rogers for giving me an unshakeable feeling of dread every time this thread jumps to the top.
  25. Agree with this. Given our history for rushing players back from injury I'm surprised people are so desperate to play him. I've had a history of back problems for almost 7 years and when it's bad it's horrible. Not sure exactly what he had but they need to be managed so carefully, and I presume he's waiting for a game where we're clear and he doesn't need to push too hard. I suspect we'll only really see him in the new year once Nacho is on international duty.
