Difficult to call. Full team and an unexpected win against a Prem team, and the Leeds/Boro games will be forgotten and confidence high. Lose and it's three on the bounce, with risk of injuries/low fitness. Glad I'm not the manager.

Once things have settled most reasonable people will see that for what it was: a dominant performance against our closest rivals away at an undefeated ground which (after they scored) makes a good atmosphere. For 80 minutes it was one of our most complete performances all season, and we opened them up on countless occasions. They were rattled - how many other times this season do you think teams have gone there and forced their midfielders to play unpressured cross-field passes to Summerville straight out of play? A bad decision on the offside goal and very poor finishing, particularly from Daka and Mavididi, have turned the game on its head. 2 of the 3 conceded goals are massive deflections of shots going wide, and the first is a fortunate ricochet off Vesty's heal (who had a storming game up to then). Also, you do have to credit Leeds for the last 10 minutes. They took their chances and the crowd got behind them. Annoying as it is. I'm still fuming about the result, but it doesn't change my view of the game or the rest of the season. We might get pipped at the end looking at fixtures, but I'm confident that team last night will get enough points for top 2.

I fear for that defending against Leeds on Friday, although today’s game is completely different if one of the two first half sitters goes in. Too many had off days and the final ball / lack of intent from the wingers was very poor. The table could look quite uncomfortable next weekend. Oh. And **** off Kavanagh. Why is he still allowed to officiate professional league games? To top it off, 4 mins injury time after 4 second half yellows (one for time wasting!) and 5 breaks in play for substitutions. It was Hull all over.

He's right and it's a real blot on home games this season. We were absolutely dire last season and people seem to quickly forget how removed a lot of fans felt from the club and the players by the time we were relegated. Now we're trying a different style with a largely different team, and we're being spoilt with the results. No matter where I sit this season there's always one or two morons close by shouting "GET IT FORWARD" or "KICK ITTTT" when we're in complete control of the game against teams that largely sit back and try to hold out til the last 10 minutes. Just enjoy the fact we're winning and we now seem to have a number of players who give a sh1t. It's crazy how bad the atmosphere is when we've won 22 of 29 league games.

It’s funny because often there’s “a few more details being worked out in the contract” type remarks with transfers. I’ve seen a lot of contracts over the years and football transfers and player contracts are proper back of a fag packet stuff. They take 20 minutes, with a bit of time to spare - plug a few numbers in.

Agree with this. I think our only complaint of the two key decisions is how he has decided one tackle is more reckless/dangerous than the other to justify a yellow and a red. Unfortunately the only difference is he’s just given a penalty and wanting to even it up.

Have to just take that result on the chin. Four big slices of luck: Morsy not getting his 5th yellow against Leeds when the ref took pity on them, the non-red card (twice), the non-penalty and the deflected goal. We’ve had an incredible December so far and ultimately pulled away from everyone. Get a couple of wins from Cardiff and Huddersfield and we’ll be laughing.

Penalty couldn’t be any more blatant and if we score it kills the game. Very very poor for the ref to not see it.
