Home and Away Support/Atmosphere
Sol thewall Bamba replied to FoxesTalker's topic in Leicester City Forum
Was alright in patches. Very good at the start, thought we were in for a proper backs against the wall job but did relatively quickly after Winks started to give the ball away. -
Pompey 1-0 LCFC, post-match thread
Sol thewall Bamba replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
After FT basically all the squad came over to the away end other than Fatawu and the manager (I probably missed others that weren't there). They stood in a line basically on the 18 yard line and the away end gave them what for. They took their medicine to be fair. It went on for about 5 minutes. -
Painful to watch again today.

Pompey 1-0 LCFC, post-match thread
Sol thewall Bamba replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Being in that away end was probably the most ashamed I've ever been as a Leicester fan. Pathetic performances all over the pitch, players trying to fight opposing fans, coward manager telling them to just pump it forward like it's 2007 again. But then seeing them having to take their medicine after the final whistle for 5 minutes in front of the away end made it worth it. Never seen anything like that before here. -

There is something deeply wrong with the mentality of this organisation. What the **** are they thinking.

Henry Cartwright at the level to play 46 games in L1?
-
All this to concede after 7 minutes from an under hit back pass. We've been diabolical on the south coast since that 3-2 against Southampton, I CAN'T WAIT.

To be completely honest man I think you had your nose put of joint when I said I don't think the protest chat resulted in much and you've looked to clip me one back. On reflection that probably wasn't needed from me because I know a couple of lads personally involved in the organisation of the marches and I also know from 13 years of involvement in UFS that when someone criticises something you're involved in on here it's easy to react to it. So I'm more than happy to stop the back and forth because as you say it's not really helping anything. I'll message you something I was working on for the protest marches (was trying for QPR but didn't get it done on time).
-
I'm in the clear then, good to know.
-
Boy thanks for the glowing character reference. This has really snowballed from me saying the protest WhatsApp group didn't really output much.
-
Really? I think some of the stuff from the presser today was dreadful.

The good thing about the format is that everyone gets the group games and then at least 1 knock out game which is usually pretty competitive because of how it splits into the cup and the shield after the group stage. Looking forward to it!

It's not surprising. Plenty of anecdotes have come out over the yeras to say that Rudkin has an awful reputation in the game, stands to reason that managers/DoFs etc would swerve us. There's not an infinite talent pool in the game and there's only so many Wasserman candidates we can be offered.

Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21
Sol thewall Bamba replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Only James (not our player) would score the first one. Daka wouldn't finish the second one and Ayew wouldn't have kept up with play to have it passed to him. Daka might have been there for the third but Ayew wouldn't for the same reason as the second. -
That is crazy and incredibly sad. At most clubs they'd reach out to you and try and understand why you're cancelling you feel. Sad reality is that it won't even hit the radar here.

Incredible username.

The issue that you picked up on was that I said it was weird that the owners paraded the trophy round (which I did), and that at the time when it was said by myself and others we were shouted down (we were). That was it, then you launched your tirade about me being a hypocrite. I've never said that I've never uttered a positive word about King Power (I have), so trawling the forum for posts I've made half a decade ago isn't much of a gotcha because I've not claimed that I've never said anything good about King Power over the years.

Watching the highlights back of the 6-1 there under Sousa. I think it could be very similar, we will absolutely fold the second something goes against us.

Relegation, League 1, financial implications
Sol thewall Bamba replied to splinterdream's topic in Leicester City Forum
What is the implication of not meeting that 75% wages/turnover ratio? Because there is absolutely no chance we meet it. -
Because they know the club has their back and there won't be any repercussions. At least two examples of that this season.

Don't know if I've looked forward to a game less tbh. Going to be hairy for those going as well I feel, it's a feisty place to go at the best of times and they'll be celebrating staying up to boot.
