Fair enough, I didn't see anything about him being away but I guess why would LCFC have posted about it when he wasn't our player.

If we're obligated to sign him, then why isn't he here ready for training yesterday? He didn't go away with Ghana over the summer, so he should be here ready to go. People's concern probably stems from this being yet another indication of the fact that we're a bit crap behind the scenes.

No. The club shifted to digital tickets to stop people doing exactly what you've described. Giving a ST to someone when you can't go is one thing but actively buying tickets when you know you can't go to build points is a pretty scummy move.

Agree on this one, it's still a hangover from our ridiculous wage structure under Rodgers though. To keep players like Hamza and Vestegaard we needed to reduce their wages significantly, so they push for longer deals in return. Those longer deals then set a precedent for deals like this one. All in though I think this is probably a tidy signing though.
