Usually like gold dust coming down here, guess people don't fancy a bit of a journey midweek. -
Ex Players - They used to play for us
Sol thewall Bamba replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Oh dear. He was crap against Brighton in the cup, and looking he's only made a dozen league appearances at 22 years old. Probably time for a reality check. -
Bizkit are musically credible and Wes Borland is up there with the best. I don't make the rules.
-
He was awful when he played against us for Huddersfield to be fair.

Been a while since I've seen this many requests for tickets! -
It's so boring isn't it. I've said it all season, they're gutted us three are the top three becasue it shits all over their rhetoric of the Championship being a "tough league to get out of". The top 4 at the end of the season will all likely be teams that didn't play in this league last season, half of which with managers that have never managed in this league before. A few Championship tropes that pods like this love to peddle that need retiring: "You need a manager with Championship experience" - Last year's winner and this year's current leader are basically rookie managers. "There's no easy games in the Championship" - Look at our games against Stoke, Cardiff etc. Definition of processions. "The Championship is the most competitive league in the world" - there's a good chance this season has one of the biggest ever gaps between 1st and 24th, wow so comeptitve!
-
That's a bit of an exageration tbh, over their run of however many games they've gone unbeaten they've got 3 points closer to us.
-
More crap no one asked for.
-
Haha, was always meant to be Claudio until he got sacked the week before we painted it.

Took a stab at it on a scrap of paper, basically if you want to win the league, Leeds or Ipswich winning all their games gives the lowest "minimum" to guarantee winning the league (we'd need 109). If you just want to be promoted automatically, Saints winning all their games supresses the "minimum" required to finish 2nd down to 105.
-
Just using the current ppg rate isn't accurate though. Because that takes into account Saints' dreadful start and projects that across the remaining games. We probably won't pull away any further from them, and there's a good chance they'll narrow the gap between now and the end of the season.
-
Norwich and West Brom will likely still be pushing for playoffs by that point, so they will be tricky games. The rest fingers crossed will be on the beach.
-
Is it possible to do maximums for each of the sides taking into account that a lot still have to play each other? A lot of people will just take the remaining games for each team and times them all by three and add that to their current total, but obviously that doesn't work when Saints play Leeds, we play Saints etc. Would be interesting to see the "best" and "worst" outcomes from those head to head games.
-
So the next time an article is critical of someone, are you happy for people to laugh their socks off at you, or will you immediately pull out the "it's just internet speculation, we shouldn't be talking about it, we don't know for sure" etc etc? Like I say it sounds as though you want the best of both worlds.

Safe standing - time to act
Sol thewall Bamba replied to Safe Standing Roadshow's topic in Leicester City Forum
Ha, quite. The club will be forced into it and the line will be "we're listening to the fans after years of stakeholder engagement" or similar corporate comms rubbish. -
Are we signing him in the summer then?
-
So now articles online ARE acceptable to take as gospel truth? Or is it just because this one supports your opinion?

Villa with a section in the away end last night. Hadn't heard anything about it previously, but looking into it, it looks like they were under significant pressure to get some installed. Some notes from a meeting between Villa and their fans last season: "The SGSA has advised us that as persistent standing in areas of Villa Park continues to give them cause for concern, the Club should introduce rail seating during the 23/24 season if it wishes to avoid the prospect of stadium capacity being reduced." This decision is out of the club's hands now, they're going to be told to do it sooner rather than later. If we were in the Prem now, we'd be in the minority of stadiums that don't have any standing provision. I make it 12 with it (counting Everton's new ground) and 8 without. Unless there's significant movement on the expansion this summer I think the club might have its hand forced to install before the expansion. Funny looking back at the start of this thread, the amount of people saying "it'll never happen" so anyone trying should just give up -
Hope he gets more minutes in the next couple of games. Fixtures get a bit tougher after that.

Out of Contract Summer 24 …… let’s get excited about nothing.

Fair enough. Would be class to piss off Cov fans too. -
A couple to live "comfortably" would be spending £5K a month, presumably without any mortgage commitments. Seems way off to me.

Is O'Hare actually any good though? Before the game at their place I had never heard of him, and his numbers this season are very average. 7 goal contributions in the league for an "attacking midfielder", KDH has three times that. Obviously we'll be going through another big rebuild this summer and if we do go up I think we'd be in a good spot to take a punt on him, but putting any kind of expectation on him to perform in the Prem would be misplaced imo. -
Wow, there's a club that's actually accountable to the community not just saying it.
