Retired from all formats so he could come and play for the mighty Leicestershire.

I think it’s unfair to relate this to football. The working classes love football and unfortunately that’s where most of these rioters exist in society. I’d imagine most of these thugs are sat in their local lamp lighters pub at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon rather than at their local club. I do agree however that we have a massive Coke problem in this country.

I take it as a badge of honour that we have them completely rattled. Daring the stand up to racial abuse, the Chris Wright debacle, Kimber finishing off Ollie Robinson’s international career, they must hate us.

No chance of people saying she’s a man with that voice

I think if he doesn’t get a grip soon, we will see calls for an election and prime minister Farage in the next few months.

People are saying about Luton and Burnley, I think the optimistic comparison has got to be wolves last season right? Either that, but I’m scared we’re going to be looking at Derby’s record
-
This is why they appointed him. He will be easy to dump and deflect the blame onto.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a red card in hockey before, was proper naughty

How is any of this Keir Starmer’s fault? 🤣🤣
-
He can’t really do that as his mindset is that he’s lucky to be given a shot by a prem team. However coming from Forest to here must be a bit of a reality check in terms of signing competency lol.

Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread

Stoke surely have to come good or get relegated. You’d imagine Burnley and Luton will be strong, one of QPR or Wednesday will be up there too. Cardiff may be an outside shout too. -
I feel like once he’s peaked, the decline for Madders is going to be rapid. He’ll be back in the championship or Saudi league in two years

These false start DQ’s in athletics are brutal

Because their economic systems aren’t geared towards high immigration. What happens to the social care sector when we pull up the drawbridge for example?
-
I wish it was sold to people that society would collapse without immigration. Like unless we go back to a pre-1979 financial system, we need it. Yet nobody wants to say those words.

It was a week ago that they were saying the police should be more heavy handed

Twitter I think was the peak of social media around 2012-14. It was fun, informative and you could connect with so many people with the same interests as you. Since the world became more divided post 2016, it deteriorated and Dorsey got out at the right time I think. Now Musk has it, the past few weeks have taught me that he is deliberately manipulating the site to meet his own personal interests. It will die a death very quickly and our lives will be better without it.

There’s 4 of our winning team from last year in the hundred this year so clearly there has been some development in that respect. Especially players like Hull and Patel. We have a small squad so continuing that will be hard hence why I’d have liked to see Evans and Wood get a go, plus I think Scriven is easily of hundred quality.

Yes, it should be left to the actual people who deal with this stuff rather than angry internet people. It’s obviously a more complicated situation than people are making out. And like others have said, the performative cruelty shows people’s true colours. People like Andrew Tate (sex trafficker) pretending to care about women is hilarious.
-
I find it alarming how quickly people have reframed a disgusting riot as 'protest'. Burning stuff and bricking mosques is not a protest, it's criminal violence.

My mate used to be a pharmacist at Kings Mill hospital in Lee Anderson’s constituency and that place would fall apart immediately without immigration.

60 is so young too, absolutely horrible.

You’d hope not but judging by how everything has exploded then you never know. I also hope this isn’t used as a mitigating factor in the court of law. Unlike the Nottingham guy who was experiencing severe psychosis, autism would not account for not knowing the difference between right or wrong.
