There’s been a considered attempt from their lawyer Mr. Yakoob and local community members that these guys were innocent bystanders when the evidence is clearly not. There’s also been lots of accusations that the actions of the police officer were racially motivated, it doesn’t seem like that’s the case.

Its about voter fraud I believe but its been manipulated to make it look like he’s going to declare himself King forever
-
I don’t think the kick or stomp are justified but the perpetrators are hardly the sweet innocent boys that have been made out in the media. They deserve their day in court alongside the officer.

interesting, might change the views of some

It’s for all of us slightly autistic middle aged men who always take an extra layer of clothes to the footy with them, just in case. Badass.

It really is remarkable, I know we’re pushed towards viewing Chinese with suspicion but it shows what can be done (I suppose similar to us in 2012). Apart from that horrible swimmer Sun Yang, he can go suck eggs.

The photo of Starmer in his coat while the other leaders are cowering in poncho’s goes so hard. We are so back as a country.

Looking more like it was some far left people affiliated to the rail unions as they said they would’ve required specialist knowledge to do what they did

Always surprises me that America aren’t better at shooting. What makes China so good at technical sports? Is it just investment?

Its annoying that BBC doesn’t have streams for every event like the did in 2012 but anyone with TNT can access it on discovery+

Funny because it looked dead flat in the morning session. Will be interesting if Windies can get Root or Pope cheaply. Still fancy us for 500+ -
Saturday morning aka the true opening ceremony. Algerian badminton, Japanese volleyball, Slovenian handball all on right now

He’s spent a few weeks with Rudkin and has seen how it works here

I could do a google search but I was kinda going off my own hypothesis from what I see around me 🤣 so flimsy. You have to remember France was at war with Algeria until 1962 so there’s still a lot of bitterness and anti-colonial sentiment in North African diasporas that are simply another generation along compared to us. France also have far more conservative laws towards the hijab for example. Our more relaxed approach would be seen as more of a ‘meet in the middle’ compared to France, so I guess more tolerant. Anyway, less politics, enjoy the sports everyone!!

You get more Moroccans, Tunisians, Algerians in France for colonial reasons who seems more susceptible to extremism than say people of Pakistani/Bangladeshi ethnicity here and we seem to do integration a lot better despite what people say. Also France were leaders in the bombing campaign in Iraq and Syria plus the rampant poverty in their big cities that make our cities look well off.
-
Seems like someone tried to disrupt the French railway lines. Given that it’s France there could’ve been about 100 different group culprits but people may suspect the Russians.

And another two raped an argentinean woman and left her hospitalised.

The hundred is gonna hinder the development of players I’m sure. Rehan Ahmed who should be the natural replacement for Adil Rashid in the 50 over team, won’t have played a one day game in nearly two years soon, all so he can play in this circus. How is he supposed to develop? -
Also the brass neck of Notts fans saying that we have an unfair advantage when they rake in their test match millions and illegally tap up Leicester, Derby, Worcester & Northants players and appoint a sex pest as their club captain 🤣🤣 let them rot.
-
It was just the one who did the kicking and stomping. The rest acted fine and proportionally, the other one should be sacked and charged with assault as he’s lucky the bloke isn’t dead.
-
Not at all. It’s all part of their ‘culture war’. The officer gets sacked and to them and their supporters, it’s further proof that we’ve sold out to Muslims and that we’re a woke mamby pamby mess. Of course if officers stomped on the head of a person at an EDL rally this weekend, I’m sure their response would be exactly the same, right? And I’m sure us football fans would be delighted to know that leading politicians have given the green light to the police to start kicking and stomping on our heads, because the police never abuse their power with football fans.
-
Our younger players who would be playing have been snapped up by the 100. More than Notts I should also say. We don’t have a massive squad for obvious reasons so we have to fill the gaps somehow.

People like this are beyond help. Causing that much distress and trauma should be a custodial sentence imo. It’s one thing being a conspiracist, but to follow victims around and insult them is as low as it gets
