Arguably the most damaging periods post 1945 have been the times when we got on best. In particular the Reagan/Thatcher pivot to late stage capitalism which is essentially the root of all our problems in the UK now, and then obviously the Bush/Blair era was a disaster. We’ll struggle if we can’t keep people fit but I really think the depth in our batting line up will surprise a few teams. Gonna need someone to really step up batting wise and then a bowler to push on (hopefully Hull) and have a sub 20 average season. We’ve got a head start of Sussex who are a mess and shouldn’t fear Glamorgan. There’s only really Surrey squad wise that are streets ahead, maybe Warwickshire and Notts too.

Like she says though, when you look at the losses some other clubs are making (Sussex/Middlesex), it’s really not that bad and she talks a good game in terms of trying to increase turnover. And to do that with our best squad in years is some effort too even if it’s a bit thin. Got a lot to learn from Derbyshire I’m sure as they always seem to make a profit which is great to see.
