  1. Imagine how much of a buzz it must be to be the best player representing a country like Bangladesh (love football, massive population).
  2. I feel sorry for the people of Venezuela who will likely feel the consequences.
  3. A mate recommended that I listen to the Blue Nile, I think Tinseltown in the Rain may be my new favourite song.
  4. Every single fast bowler that we’re taking has an extensive history of injuries. And like Steve Smith said today, going to Australia with a bunch of 90mph+ hit the deck bowlers isn’t that good of an idea. We can win this ashes on vibes alone, Root, Brook, Duckett are some of the greatest batters of this generation, but the strategy is still crap.
  5. Looks like a lot of the wickets were caught on the boundary too which says a lot. Sounds like they’ve not got what they wanted from this. Aussies will be licking their lips.
  6. Ukrainian oligarchs. Using the war to make quick buck.
  7. The American funded NABU anti corruption agency have started pursuing Ukranian government figures for pocketing money meant for the energy system. Awful behaviours
  8. China already do because it’s soft power for them. Pretty much all developing countries would rather work with China than the west on these issues because they think China are least likely to exploit them and have better long term prospects.
  9. Who needs cricket when you can play yourself into form on the driving range?
  10. Ever listened to the song Brazil by Declan McKenna? It’s basically about this and how they destroyed the social cohesion of the country so they could host the World Cup then Olympics.
  11. Some good news finally and will put to bed people who say “what’s the point when pollute so much”. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/nov/11/china-co2-emissions-flat-or-falling-for-past-18-months-analysis-finds This is how China ends up being the world’s leading country, short term pain for long term gain. And thankfully this is something we’ll all benefit from.
  12. BBC documentaries are streets ahead of anything you find on Netflix and prime, whether that be nature, political or historical. I get a lot of recipes from BBC Food.
  13. It’s £178 as I paid it last week. For me it’s worth the money, we’ve just had a brilliant series of Traitors, I listen to a mix of Radio 2, 4, 5 and 6 throughout the day, sports commentary, local radio.
  14. This is all clearly a concerted right wing push against the BBC to finish it off once and for all. It’ll be interesting to see what Starmer does, support a great British institution even if it needs reform to adapt to modern mass media, or suck up to Trump and hand over £1 billion of tax payers money all in the name of the special relationship. Also the biggest mistake the BBC ever made is pretending that impartiality can be a thing. It simply can’t, you can’t for example impartially report on the Russia Ukraine war because it would be against our national interest to admit that we have some culpability in that situation.
  15. Our Pete just scored a 100 against a bowling line up of Starc, Hazlewood, Abbott and Lyon. Not bad. Aussies could do a lot worse than select him. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/scorecard/e-230651
  16. It’s mental how much we’re willing to strategically shoot ourselves in the foot just to placate the man child in the very short term.
  17. Liverpool much the better side here save for one or two individual moments from MCFC
  18. Honestly think he wins this with a bit of luck.
  19. Him or Warnock I reckon.
  20. What Trump says and what Trump does are often poles apart.
  21. Flash score was wrong
  22. Haha everyone getting excited we might see a youngster get a debut only to be rewarded with an average starting age of 32.
  23. This is the point we’re at, the crossover of satire and reality is blurred.
  24. Yep Trump is a raging narcissist whose evil can be directly linked to that. Vance is just odd. People like Cheney hated Trump because he was a barrier to their unfettered ambition of American imperial hegemony. A truly, truly evil ideology.
