Who would replace Slot at Liverpool? Klopp?

It’s called managed decline, we have peaked and are declining, the winners will be the party who makes the landing softest.

It’s amazing how they’ve turned it around in a short time. They’re close to the all round team. Solid enough batters, fearsome fast bowlers for hard decks, nippy seamers for green tops and probably the best spin pair/trio in world cricket. -
Daily Mail says we’re in for Ashton Turner, would that be for the Blast?
-
All you idiots pushing for youth got your wish, hope you all feel stupid.
-
A few of them went fishing in the sea instead which feels a lot less tone deaf.

KDH making a hero of himself, I bloody love that for him. What a fella.

Ukraine is a pawn between west/east. It’s sad but that’s geopolitics. Maybe I’m naive but I don’t see the reason why Putin would want to invade any other European nation. The only risk is maybe Lithuania so they can get a path to Kaliningrad, but if de-escalation in Ukraine occurs then diplomacy can fix that. The big risk is a misinterpretation or accident leading to a bigger confrontation. People keep screaming ‘it’s 1939’ again, but ultimately Hitler didn’t lose over a million men fighting for nearly 4 years and destroying his economy in the process. It’s a different ball game. NATO needs to build up, deter, deter, deter, then Russia won’t play silly buggers.

South Africa are hammering India once again. They’re so good. -
We are sadly heading back into an era of might makes right, international institutions are crumbling and climate crises only lead to resource grabs. the deal that Ukraine is being offered now is likely much better than one they’d get if they fight another 12-24 months. They’d be a sovereign nation, on Feb 24, 2022 everyone would’ve taken where we are now. So take it. The Russian translation thing is a stupid red herring that the biggest idiots with no plan keep clinging onto as some sort of ludicrous ‘gotcha’. Of course it’s going to be translated because it involves a Russian speaking country.
-
Some would call it malice, others would call it realism. What’s alternative, keep pushing Ukraine to fight a war that they risk losing (the way things are going they will), declare nuclear ww3 by fighting Russia or trying to muster a plan to end this crap in a way which meets the needs of Ukraine and Russia as much as possible?
-
Yeah, they should go for an unknown Dutchman Ruud Van Nistlerooy to replace him too.

This sounds a bit paranoid, 24 points is a long way so provided that Norris finishes these last two races, it’s hard to see him not winning it. Even if Verstappen wins them both, he’d still only need 26 points, a 3rd and a 4th.
-
Norris still obviously wins the title unless he completely flunks it, Qatar is a very easy track to just get it round. Though the gap between the actual best driver and the rest has probably never been bigger in all the time I’ve been watching f1? (Early Schumacher days).

Well true, I’m thinking more how did they get into these positions in the first place? Those three politicians are despised on basically every single issue yet we blindly follow them on foreign policy issues. The UK and EU are nowhere near as democratic as we like to think, it’s close to being a liberal dictatorship. Now, the alternative may be worse of course, but they need to actually give us reason to believe in it.
-
He won’t even need that, his Dad will just send some money to Key and it’ll be sorted.
-
I think we will win a test as the Aussies aren’t all that, but we now have to win 3 of the last 4 tests which just isn’t happening.
-
Just to prove how strategically insane and stupid the main European politicians are these days, Merz, Macron and Starmer are now drafting an ‘alternative peace plan’ for Ukraine which is better for Ukraine? a) why would Russia stop fighting and accept that? b) why weren’t they doing this anyway, rather than waiting for Trump? c) how did we end up with such useless foreign policy politicians?
-
It’s frustrating because they show how good they can be yet consistently throw it away. Ashes 2023, series in Pakistan 2024, series in New Zealand 2023, last summer v India. We’re in games and then throw them away through sheer reckless action time after time. If we were just simply crap it would be a lot easier to stomach.
-
Some are in England and some in Australia. It’s lazy, cheap and stupid. They should just use the Aussie feed.
-
I suppose the only positive we can take from this is that we will win the ashes again in 50 years as Australia won’t exist due to climate change.
-
The criticism is that it’s the ego that’s actually stopped them being a good team. I’ve blamed him before because he’s the most annoying but Harry Brook, probably the most talented batter we’ve had since 2000 Root aside, throwing his wicket away regularly and then just being like “well it’s just the way we play” in interviews. It’s not weakness to work on your temperament.

Worst part was that prat Vaughan on tms yesterday saying Boland was finished and England would win this game at a canter.
