  1. Tiring, not long got home, showered and had a little to eat. When i was dropped off on the Saff at about 12.45am it was very gusty and there was some bloke trying to shove styrofoam box padding into a bin at the bus stop outside the working men's club , ther was chunks of this stuff flying off down the road and he was cramming as much as he could get into this bin from the back of his car
  2. Sherlock was that good i watched again on BBCi player. Watching young frankenstein now on film4
  3. Had a date with a hot girl and not been seen on the internet since hmmm
  4. That was on the other night, not bad. Watched, 'Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol' this evening and i thought it was very good. It is certainly the best of the four and they finally got the right balance in this movie. Good cast, plenty of action that does not reach the ludicrous proportions of the second movie and some nice comedic moment's with Simon Pegg
  5. Congrats on the little one
  6. Mildly ammusing on the bus back from town this morning, some bloke got on and started singing xmas song's really badly, he started off by warbling, " i'm George Micheal, last xmas,...." I just sat there laughing quietly :xmaslaugh:
  7. The very excellent the Princess Bride, not expensively made and from the outside a girl's movie but it is so well made it is an excellent family movie. It is currently on 5*
  8. Both the Hobbit films are pretty much done shooting i think, same with Prometheus. Just more effects, extra editing etc, left to do.
  9. Yeah there are some movies i am definitely looking forwards to next year, Prometheus and the Hobbit are two of them
  10. Watched a film on film four called the lovely one's Turn's out there is a psychotic bitch from hell who doesnt like getting turned down for date's and she and her father do some nasty thing's to the latest boy that turn's her down including a drilling time You can tell it is going to get nasty for the fella when she injects bleach into his voicebox
  11. Studio Gibli still producing films, not seen any new titles of late ?
  12. Watched The Town in the big screen, nice old fashioned heist gone wrong story. If you like movies that have a doomed ending vibe for our crooked character's and it is going to be bloody then this is well worth watching.
  13. Watched the prequel to The Thing, called The Thing and quite enjoyed it considering we know how the prequel has to end. It has a lot of CGI but the CGI is actually well done for the most part and it actually made one of the peeps i went with jump out of his seat Not one to take the kiddies to see though
  14. Just finished rereading Battle, an account of the battle of the bulge by poeple from all side's who we're there, it is an old book and am part way through The battle for Nuremburg, an account of one of the air battles over Germany during the latter year's of the second world war.
  15. I've suffered, suffer from depression and you can't describe it and i've also lost a friend to suicide. Trying to describe true depression is a waste of time since if you do not suffer you can never know just how bleak the world can look and feel and losing someone to suicide is a massive shock that you do not really take in straight away. I feel for his family and friends and hope the media show some integrity in this.
  16. Depends if he was suffering from depression, if so then it can be like getting up every day and being so downbeat and empty but putting on a false smile to try and keep those you love from suspecting. Apparently men who suffer rarely seek help and it come's out of the blue.
  17. Condolences to his family, may he rest in peace and not be judged harshly.
  18. There is a longer, more bloody, spoiler version and the official site is quite a good one too
  19. Seen the trailer for the prequel and it look's very good, has the same feel and music and some very gruesome looking scenes Dec 2nd i think
  20. Two films i have penciled in as must see is the prequel to John Carpenters 'The Thing', also called 'The Thing' that is out in December and Ridley Scotts' Prometheus', which is set in the same universe as the Alien movies and is out next year.
  21. Not my bit of fun, i said some peeps and if you are embarrassed by other poeple in regards to football i'm surprised you ever leave the house
  22. I think it is just some peeps having a bit of fun and winding poeple up due to us having some real money for the first time in 126 years, amazing to think we have been a relatively big club and played in the top flight for many a year with tight backers who would cringe at giving away a kitkat
