  1. Yeah I don’t think he gets a new contract at Inter Milan with his record there.
  2. I think he got moved deeper in midfield because of injuries. There’s no reason to think he wouldn’t be an improvement on Casadei as an 8, albeit I think he deserves a few games in the side after his last two performances. Even if he comes and in the long-term is a rotation option, he’ll have a far better mentality for it than the likes of Praet and Soumare.
  3. Oh yes please.

  5. I went to University with someone from Lutterworth. They went to Cov away games but was a Leicester fan, had the feeling he would have supported whoever was doing best at the time of his formative years.
  6. Has he declared for Scotland or England yet? He’s got the highest ceiling out of any of the players currently coming through.
  7. I was thinking this but then thought that Doyle perhaps allows us to get Nelson a league one or even championship loan.
  8. Hope Alves makes the bench but more importantly Nelson gets a start.
  9. Yes I have, had a decent career at league two level, albeit dropped off now. Fitzhugh might have a decent career at that level, the point was that the move in consideration of his last twelve months, might not be a complete reflection on his ability being that of a conference north player.
  10. You’re right regarding the Western Boulevard demolitions, they got that very wrong at the time. However, I don’t see that as the causation(not suggesting you do) of this heritage and conservation focus we are currently seeing. I think people are more aware of the works going on, because of tangible outposts such as heritage boards and publications of works, to try and engage the public. Although, I would argue there is such a thing as heritage saturation and the boards that seem to breed like rabbits, undermine certain histories importance. Nonetheless, I think the mayor is naturally interested in heritage and conservation, and the brilliant coincidence of King Richard 3rd and us winning the league, left an opportunity to engage with our heritage and thus civic pride. The urban historian Helen Meller in 1997(?), said that going forward the agency of a football team’s success would be one of best purporters of heritage and civic pride for a local authority. We saw Claudio Ranieri and player murals in the immediate aftermath, player flags down Humberstone gate?, but they’ve largely disappeared. As for developments, I don’t believe the storey limit to be strictly true, except there have been rejections, especially in conservation areas, see the Matalan Car Park proposal (2022?), that would have significantly impacted the character of the area. Nonetheless, it does seem that the only developments over nine storeys are currently student accommodation blocks! I believe there will be a new large development off New Park Street, that may reach above nine storeys, think it was initially rejected but may have now been approved. Of course that is student accommodation.
  11. The point was that the move isn’t necessary a blight on his ability, it’s perhaps more positive than you suggested.
  12. Was more of a comment on it actually being a decent move for him. Next time, I’ll quote an Oli Norburn or Cedric Kipre. Banbury are a well run club and after the trauma of injury it may be best for him to be playing regular football at a decent level, rather than sitting on the bench at league level like so many of our releases do.
  13. Have you ever heard of Jamie Vardy?
  14. Yes I don’t want him here next season but the poster has categorised players as being of Premier League standard, Championship, young prospects and simply no good. I believe Albrighton to be of championship standard.
  15. I don’t think he is, he’s shown he can perform in the championship this season, so he should be in that category. He certainly isn’t ‘no good’.
  16. Saw on their press release for the away tickets, that they have the revolutionary concept of allowing away tickets to be returned for a full refund.
  17. No but I’d put him in the championship section of your list. Cannon needs moving up at least one step, I’d also put Iversen in the high-end championship part, given his form with Preston and interest from Palace. Stolarczyk needs moving down one too. Unfortunately the goat probably ends up in the championship section as well. Daka is a Premier League player, as is Vestegaard. I think you need more sections, possibly a consideration of whether they can be used as a rotation or a starter in the Premier League.
  18. Albrighton deserves more respect on your list, not to mention he’s looked decent in cameos.
  19. Unless he’s a permanent signing or loan with a view, we don’t need him this season.
  20. What are the issues regarding his attitude, bar some dodgy performances?
  21. He’s a good player who has had inconsistent moments that come as a young player, as well as playing the majority under a coach who was largely responsible for our down slide. He doesn’t really fit into our very effective system, so I hope he finds a new club that suits him.
  22. I reckon most people would say the same(regarding sitting near a like minded individual), the poster’s opinion is unfortunately more common than it should be in our fan base.
  23. Hello again.
  24. He’s very average isn’t he. An inflated premier league fee from a club for him would do nicely.
  25. Why would Graham Potter go there as an interim manager?
