  1. Hopefully it wasn’t because he was waiting for a Kidney.
  2. Lovely story- always interesting to hear how foreign fans start supporting Leicester when it’s not necessarily because of a raised profile through being in the Premier League.
  3. We are incredibly lucky to still be in the almost same position that Filbert Street once was. It still means we have parts of our heritage continuing into both matchday routines for either stadium. The same walk means we may see the same people, walk past the same pub, food outlet or even slightly dodgier part of the city. The reintroduction of the statue of the liberty was a great touch, pre King Power(obviously), to maintain tangible heritage of the area. I personally think having a memorial garden and statue of Vichai is a bit too much, preferring just one to remember all the victims. Other areas of the stadium or wider vicinity, clearly Filbert Street needs marking better, despite the addition of a heritage panel, although given the number within the city it’s heritage saturation at this point. I liked the pre Covid plans for affordable housing, Filbert Street gates marking the entrance to the development but that has gone quiet. On Burnmoor Street it’s a shame they couldn’t have a sign marking the old turnstile entrance, although it’s painstakingly obvious where it is given the awful rendering. Helen Meller the town planning historian once said something along the lines, that moving into the 21st century the football club was the best way to enact civic pride and so therefore a local authority should use this. Soulsby conveyed this message post league title win but the variables that have effected the attempts, such as murals and so on being removed demonstrates how difficult it is for a local authority to help maintain the heritage of a football club, therefore the responsibility falls with the ownership. We know this has already failed to an extent, thus fans creating things like a TIFO are our best bet.
  4. Most of the cycle paths are or at least were funded by the European Regional Development fund! Anecdotal evidence and putting 2+2 together to get 5.
  5. Well played last night but I’d fairs fair and the other strikers should be ahead of him currently.
  6. Statutory areas for spending have gone up but funding hasn’t.
  7. Iversen over Ward we probably stay up.
  8. He’s a really good keeper, remember the Dunfermline manager saying at the time, what a coup he was, when they signed him on loan. When you’re not playing regularly, what’s being asked of him with the passing is incredibly difficult, not to mention he hasn’t played often with the first choice backline.
  9. ITV 4, for an FA Cup quarter final draw? Might as well be on quest or Film4 plus one.
  10. Player of the season, give him the keys to the city, name a reservoir after him, I don’t care but just make sure he is here for as long as Enzo is!
  11. Very good footballer who needs to play more, makes things happen. Progresses the ball well in the final third.
  12. Blimey, a lot of pubs don’t know how to use the red button.
  13. Hoping to find a pub in Leicester that can competently work the red button.
  14. What time will the collection begin from?
  15. Watched England A yesterday at Welford Road, hope it becomes a regular fixture despite the onesidedness of the match.
  16. Yeah that’s about right, bizarrely worked out quite well yesterday, after the England A game at welford road, I went here to avoid the cup final, didn’t fancy watching it with Leicester born Liverpool fans and watched the Italy game instead. Their actual brewery beer is pretty crap though, like a cheap Brewdog as they are all indistinguishable.
  17. Yes I am British and proud too, because individuals can boo the national anthem and not be criminalised.
  18. Sounds like you’ve got a chip on your shoulder regarding Liverpool. Just ignore them if you don’t like it.
  19. You must have moved down south.
  20. Ranieri got rid of the main psychologist during the summer, after we’d won the league.
  21. Christ this result has ignited something within me. I want to win this league so badly, not just for the record but repair the damage of Friday night.
  22. Six pints of Kahuna at the Kings Head whilst watching the game, really good beer. They also had Inferno-Oakham Brewery on at the time but Kahuna was superior.
  23. My favourite ever player, sometimes it’s not the best but the coincidence of the situation when you are younger and you can see a good, honest player giving it their all for your club.
  24. Mcateer gets a nosebleed anytime he receives the ball with time and space, he needs to turn back. Arguably done better in tighter situations, where the rhythm has been set for him by the previous pass- Southampton away goal or the friendly vs Liverpool, when he came in from the left.
  25. A very average footballer who has made some decent performances in the championship this season, however this has been overshadowed by drink driving and contentious tweeting. I hope we sell him in the Summer.
