  1. Is that the Richard Cobb of this parish now?
  2. Was working in Nottingham last week, the busyness of the pubs in mid week is most enviable.
  3. I believe that is the case, last time I went was the second week of January and previously I’d popped in at least once a week.
  4. I don’t think that’s a common theme as for some it’s 85 minutes. The singing section is about as elitist as De Montfort University, they are clearly very welcoming to everybody. It’s only in other heads it is not.
  5. Glad it was found and subsequently hope the culprits are found too. I thought this stuff only happened on the sopranos(cars being shipped elsewhere), reckon they should do a twinning with wherever all the cars have ended up from Western Park.
  6. Apologies have replaced the comma with an ‘and’.
  7. Great to hear! What are you counting as the Scottish clubs? Those that are professional or Prem down to league 2?
  8. For me all positive things have the denominating factor of Enzo and we’ve pissed him off.
  9. That’s optimistic.
  10. We can probably keep laughing until the end of the season. We’ll win the league.
  11. Still irks me we didn’t win the JPT or LD vans or whatever that thing is/was called.
  12. The longer he stays away from the being actually involved in football the better.
  13. Same team as KDH. I’m certain he’ll be as committed though.
  14. Get the proper Ben Nelson thread going, I stand by this statement.
  15. A few seem to be ignorant that King Power’s success with this football club was built by Nigel Pearson and his support staff. It’s all a very interesting debate, bordering on the lines of academic historiography.
  16. Yes they were, they moved it to no money upfront and then a fee only upon promotion.
  17. The fact that no one from senior management is willing to speak publicly, is not only poor in the face of on and off field turmoil over the last 18 months, it is indicative that they see the club as no different than a branch of cinemas or a restaurant group, they don’t need to communicate with us because we are just customers.
  18. Imagine if we’d actually accepted 4 million for Iversen from Palace in the summer, except for holding out for 6. The guy cost the equivalent of 150k, it would all be profit.
  19. See above but I don’t agree with strategy, trying to make the point that we’re not exactly better run.
  20. I said I don’t agree with strategy but effectively they can get players out the door better than we can. I think what we can’t be doing as a fan base is preaching that we’re exceptionally better run, than either of these clubs. We’re a mess in a different way.
  21. I’m not sure we are, regarding members of staff who don’t actually own the club. Yes Everton and Forest have far more contentious owners, but the leadership team of each club are actually able to deal with transfers better than we clearly are. Albeit, I’m not necessarily advocating for either team’s strategy on the whole, however we are bottom of a three team table if we’re talking about effectiveness of administrative staff.
  22. Well, when we probably get promoted and Maresca understandably jumps ship, we’ll probably have a squad of players who aren’t suited to the new manager’s style. This transfer should have been about giving the manager what he wanted, which seemingly should not have been that much.
  23. Nah, that’s Stefan Moore.
  24. He’s a better player than Coady, certainly more useful weapons in his arsenal, for things we lack or might need more of in this division. I hope it’s only a loan because he’s a top division player, something we might need if Enzo isn’t here forever.
  25. Yes, we can hope he’ll one day get another pub.
