I'd already had just about enough of the way this club has been run recently but now they have changed the layout of the bar reception area between The Walkers Hall and The Keith Weller Lounge? That's the final straw

It doesn't feel like a conundrum we are likely to solve without spending some money - someone who isn't petrified of the ball (rules Hamza out) and has a bit of mobility and physicality is a must. Soumare has it but can't/won't use it, Skipp runs like he's afraid the last of his hair is going to blow away in the wind. I don't know a great deal about Page but surely he can't be much less effective than those two dossers. It's a bigger area of concern than striker for me.

I think it was less about anything particularly special that he did and more that as a team, we looked better for having an actual striker up front with some legs and energy who might make a run in behind or into the box.

Lots of chat about Wednesday's keeper elsewhere but thought Jakub's save onto the post early on was worth a mention - a barely perceptible but vital touch. No chance whatsoever with the goal obviously.
-
I thought he was pretty ineffectual for much of the game but later on, particularly once they were down to ten and Daka was alongside/ahead of him, he was very good. I do think he'll probably have a role to play for us this season but if that role is our first-choice striker it is going to be a problem.

There will definitely have been some people shouting his name (not how it's actually pronounced of course but this is the fanbase who couldn't get their heads around the surname "Wood" so no great surprise there), but there will definitely also have been quite a lot of people booing him on and then doing so again after his celebration
-
Dreadful. I'm more convinced than ever he must have some underlying fitness/medical issue and he'll retire after he inevitably leaves on a free in four years
-
Yeah that's what I thought. Made a lot of saves but a lot of those were efforts from distance, struck well enough but nowhere near the corners and not the sort of shots you would ever expect a keeper to concede. Even the close range one from El Khannouss was straight at him and I can only really think of Thomas and Daka who actually gave him much of a test.

The fans seemed really interested in helping to build that bridge when he came on
-
Took it nicely to be fair to him, the big slow lump of shit
-
Different division, new manager but crucially the same feckless people running the show and the same group of players who have made a habit of not only losing games but doing so in an incredibly half-arsed way. Rancid.
-
No great surprise after the Fiorentina lineup despite people trying to convince themselves it was no indicator. Vestergaard and Soumare concern me and I think it has the potential to be a really frustrating game but hopefully (surely?) we have enough about us to ensure otherwise.

I'll add to the scout reports: I watched West Brom against Blackburn and they were both shit. Price and the two centre backs were good for West Brom and that was about it in terms of quality

Mads Hermansen sold to West Ham - Official

Best of luck to him, I'm sad to see him go and I think he's a superb player. The fee I think is both a bit low for someone of his quality and potential but also probably about as much as we could hope for in our (miserable, self-inflicted) position. Can only hope these recent outgoings are a prelude to some activity in the other direction and mean if/when BEK goes it's for his release clause rather than a cut price. -
It is. Unless they "clearly impact the goalkeeper" or end up playing/challenging for the ball then it's no problem and I think you'd have a very hard job arguing that Young clearly impacted the goalkeeper
-
Remains to be seen if we're any better but these are both ****ing crap
-
Not much overlap between players who would be realistic and players who would actually improve the squad I don't think. Can't say I've watched a great deal of him but I understand Viktor Johansson is meant to be one of the better Championship keepers these days so he's probably one, I don't rate George Hirst particularly but he would at least be an option and I know some people get very excited at the prospect of a big, crap target man up front

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?
Guest replied to LeicesterBran's topic in Music and Gaming
The gameplay is broadly OK but if the size and chokepoint-heavy nature of these three maps is representative of what we're getting at launch (and we already know two of the remaining six launch maps are infantry only) then it's probably no deal for me -
I'm guessing the stats that are meant to be particularly damning here are his save and clean sheet percentages? The former is accounted for by the incredibly high quality of the shots we allowed the opposition to take and the latter by the fact he was playing behind an absolute clown show defence. No shit he conceded a lot of goals playing with Wout Faes and Conor Coady. Interesting how many people are saying Stolarczyk is better at both shot-stopping and dealing with crosses yet the stats that actually correspond to those two things are in Hermansen's favour.
-
I'm choosing to believe it's mainly just sour grapes because anyone who genuinely thinks he's not an excellent goalkeeper needs their head reading
-
Didn't expect him to stay but still a shame if he leaves. I think he's outstanding and a cut above Stolarczyk who I'm happy enough to see step up but, like others, not yet entirely convinced by.

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
Guest replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
I think they already have too many attacking midfielders/behind the striker types to have an interest but they do have some form for spending that sort of money on young, relatively unproven UK-based players too, e.g. Pedro, O'Riley, Rutter, Minteh so it wouldn't be entirely out of character -
If you forgot something and then were reminded of it then you still forgot it in the first place, which I suspect is the idea
-
Doesn't actually start until 6pm today I don't think
