The decision to play the youth will be down the manager, not Top and Rudkin. The goodwill will be restored when either he sells up or he actually employs people to run the club that actually know what they are doing.

I understand that, and I don't take as much interest in the wider football as I once did. However, we have so many fans that have no understanding of anything that goes on at their own club, never mind the wider football. Some still think Top is an amazing owner, some think that it's ok for us to be in the championship and we are just "little leicester". Some wouldn't dare say a bad word about the club, the owner, Rudkin, the underperforming players etc, they just turn up bang their clapper and then go home. The club is and has been shambolic for years and because we have such a large section of our fanbase that are so passive, there continues to be a lack of responsibility and accountability at the club. Top and Rudkin probably think they are doing an amazing job as there is nowhere near enough uproar from our fanbase at the shit show we've become. That's my 2 pennies worth anyway but it'll never change and I'd imagine we're not the only fanbase that has a section that know little about football and the club they support.

If true, I'm not sure I like this attitude. Page has to prove himself to Marti, he can't just walk in on his first day and say put me in the team or I'm going. He's never played a minute of first team football yet, rightly or wrongly, so I don't like the idea of him demanding first team football at 17. Whilst it's important for us to do everything we can to keep our best academy players, we also shouldn't be held to ransom.

I think it's pretty clear though that we aren't going to be splashing the cash this summer. We've had 2 relegations In 3 years, still have a massive wage bill and very little value in our squad other than Bilal and Mads. The PL/EFL are always trying to shaft us for PRS and then all the issues with KP, we don't actually know if Top can continue to finance us going forward. We also have 27 players in the first team squad (that includes Golding and Nelson) and that's not including Monga, Evans, Page etc. Even if we are financially OK, we can't be adding to our bloated squad and wage bill until we trim it a little bit.

We could probably do with selling Hermansen to be fair as we need the money. Stolarczyk is more than good enough so seems daft having 2 good keepers. We just need a cheap backup for Stolarczyk, probably and older experienced keeper.

Yes but even freebies aren't always what they are cracked up to be. Again we don't want to be taking ageing players on frees as most will want top wages and signing on fees. Obviously if there are decent deals to be done then great but I think the free agent market doesn't look overly tempting at the moment.

For this season, I'd be happy with us not making any permanent signings and get a couple of loans in key positions. The youth lads can be used within the squad as well. We need to get out of this cycle of over spending on players that are too old with no resale value (Ayew, coady, BDCR), or just not good enough (Skipp Soumare). Our squad is already quite big and whilst some will be moved on, there are others that we know we won't shift and will just have to use until their contracts run down.

He's also not a particularly likeable guy either, which isn't the be all and end all, but like you say, the connection with the fans would be a problem.
