It's a totally different situation and not comparable at all. At that time we had no money and nearly went bust. Now we have plenty of money and have wasted it on terrible players on high wages. In the league one season we actually were well run and Pearson was able to build us back up and the club slowly improved after that point. Granted the football was pretty bad the season we were relegated to league one but I've never seen anything as bad as the muck thats being served up right now and there's no excuse for it given the money spent on transfers and wages.
-
It's not about that. I couldn't care less if we win, lose or draw but what I want to see is the club run properly and sustainably and the players to actually try. This lot couldn't care less. We've had worse players before but never have we had a bunch that don't give a fck as much as this lot. I don't expect us to win every week, I don't expect us to challenge at the top or for trophies but I do expect us to at least get relegated with some fight and dignity, not a compete laughing stock that we are right now. Everyone can make their own choices, and my choice is I won't be going to any more games or giving another penny to the club until Top sells up or at the least sacks all his board and hires people to run the club that known what they are doing. It's not about glory or winning it's about pride in this wonderful football club and that has sadly been destroyed over the past few years.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

I'm genuinely amazed he hasn't walked. Every game that passes he is destroying his reputation a little bit more. I can't see him ever getting another job other than at a lowly Dutch team maybe. Totally clueless and out of his depth, and whilst the players are crap, any half decent manager would have us getting points and at the very least, scoring a goal every now and again. -
We don't need to know about your sti's.
-
This isn't about thick and thin. Most supporters couldn't care less what league we are in (I actually went to more games than I ever have when we were in league 1) but the state of the club and the absolute disgusting performances these players put in every week is beyond a joke. They don't deserve our support and they deserve to be playing in front of an empty stadium. Many fans are thinking they are being good, loyal supporters, when actually they are doing the opposite and are complicit in the downfall of the club. Right now there is zero reason for any fans to attend our games. The only way we can our club back is by forcing change at the top and that can't be done whilst people still turn up to games and spend money at the club.

Odd balls

All of those sound decent so long as the football isn't involved. Don't let these useless nobs ruin your holiday

I accepted a while ago that we are going down but if we lose today and make it 4 defeats in a season to this horrendous Man U side, then that's a new low for this club.
-
Such a shame that we just don't seem to scout players like this. All would be low wages and relatively low transfer fees as well.

New contract for Danny Ward
-
If we sell Mads, I'd be happy with our former keeper Viktor Johansson. Not sure if Stoke would be willing to sell him unless they got relegated but he's always seemed a really good keeper at championship level and i can't imagine he'd be on big wages.
-
Rudkin logic: We have too many keepers. We can sell Mads and make some decent money. Keep Jakub as number one and then I've got an amazing idea. We can save money by not signing a back up keeper. We can offer Danny Ward a new 5 year deal. I'm a genius!

There was a thing on social media a bit back about a guy who sits on public transport with different books, all with covers that he's made himself with inappropriate titles. I'm sure somebody could knock up some book covers 🤣

Best Leicester Player From Almost Every Country
jayfox26 replied to Leicesterpool's topic in Leicester City Forum
Don't think so but apparently Junior Lewis was -
This is the point though isn't it? The hierarchy need the flack. What does that look like? Stopping spending money at the club and an empty stadium would certainly raise eyebrows. Top, Rudkin etc couldn't give a shit if we boo the players or make the stadium toxic, the only time they'll actually care is when the club has no money coming in from ticket sales, merch, food etc. And it would also be very embarrassing for them to have a half empty stadium. Doesn't really matter anyway though as too many people can't actually see the problem and blindly keep going thinking they are supporting the players when they are actually continuing to support our board/owner.
-
If a single penny of tax payers money is spent on building that stadium, then football and the country in general is fcked. They have multi billionaire owners and are one of the wealthiest football clubs in the world (contrary to the bull shit Radcliffe spouts about them going out of business) and yet want the tax payer to fund the stadium. Get in the bin! I'd rather see that wretched club burnt to the ground before a penny of tax payers money is spent on it!
-
We're way past that, the players know they are rubbish and we know that the issues at the club runs way deeper than the players. It's the board and owner that we need to target through the ways the op has said.

I did say with Bilal I'm not sure anyone would pay what we'd want. I think Mads has done enough this season for top clubs to have a look. Liverpool are getting Mamardashvili but I could see all the other clubs looking at improving their options. Even clubs outside of the big 6 could be interested. Maybe Newcastle
-
Mads but he'll be sold. Bilal but he could be sold but we'd want to at least make our money back so not sure anyone would pay it. Fatawu providing he recovers well from his injury. I obviously love Vardy but I think it's time for him to retire now. Other than the youth players, not sure I'd be fussed about keeping any others. Think we should tell Monga he'll be in the first team squad next season in a hope we can keep him, if he's not already joined Man City.
-
Utterly depressing that by early March we can't catch Forest. Shows how much they've improved and how far we've fallen.

Yeh its a poor situation if you can't afford to sack a manager. Granted we've already sacked one this season and whilst I don't agree with constantly changing the manager, it would help if we actually hired the right person in the first place. 2 poor managerial appointments in a row is absolutely ridiculous -

Yeh he's crap and the only thing he'd improve would be our defence. He showed at Everton his teams don't score goals and that's our biggest issue. I've said we should get Rohl but looks like he's going Southampton in the summer. -
I said a while back we won't win another game this season. I'm going one further and saying we won't score another goal this season. When was the last time we had an xg of 1 or even close to 1? Absolute shambles.
-
And good defenders. We don't have a single decent defender unfortunately
-
I won't be going again anytime soon either. I'm not arsed what league we are in or whether we win lose or draw (of course I always want us to win) but the very basics I want to see is players playing with pride, fight and passion, something that is massively lacking with this lot. Add in all the board room issues, ticketing issues etc and I just don't want to give any of my hard earned cash to the club in the it's current guise. Not my club and won't be until Top either sells up or actually restructures the club and hires people that know what they are doing at every single level of the club.
