Knowing our board we've probably signed a 5 year contract with this company and they've paid up front for the sponsorship which we'd then have to give back if we cancelled the sponsorship, which it sounds like we will, meaning not only have we cashed in our future (non existent) tv money, we'll also have an even bigger black hole in our psr accounts. Of course I'm just speculating and have no idea how the sponsorship deal works and the length/finances etc but given how incompetent our board are, nothing would surprise me.

It's genuinely incredible that people say shit like this and "best owners in the world" etc etc. Some of our fans have been "brainwashed" by KPFC and they need to put themselves in the bin along with our board and owners.

Pearson built us then Ranieri fine tuned us and did the unthinkable. Things sadly went south under Ranieri, and he wasn't helped by some really poor transfers the summer after we won the league. Shakespeare took over and things didn't improve and we only started to see improvements (in the squad at least) when Puel came in. Whilst many didn't like Puel, he was similar to Pearson in that he built us a really good squad and Rodgers was then able to benefit from this. Rodgers saw initial success using Puels squad, similar to how Ranieri did with Pearsons squad, but then once his mate Congerton got his dirty hands on our transfer dealings, things went bad again and even worse than we could possibly imagine with a ridiculous relegation. Things looked up again with Maresca last season and then went tits up again once he left and we appointed Cooper. Bottom line is, poor decision making at key times by our board have lead to this. -Rodgers should have been sacked earlier. -Congerton should have not been allowed anywhere near this club. -Cooper shouldn't have been appointed. -Ruud shouldn't have been appointed. -

Yes but Rodgers and his mate Congerton were to blame for the shite squad. He inherited a really good squad from Puel then brought his mate Congerton in as head of recruitment and a good squad became a poor one within a few transfer windows. The people at the top are mainly responsible for where we are but Rodgers is a huge part of why we are where we are.

The club have announced that the games this weekend will celebrate football vs homophobia. Cynical part of me feels the club has got wind of the planned protests and counteracted with this. I'm probably reading too much into it and these things are probably arranged months in advance but the timing does seem suss unless it's a national thing that all clubs are doing this weekend?. Edit: apparently it's national and it's just my cynicism towards the club going into over drive 🤣

I think Ruud would pick Ayew up front before he'd use Edouard. He'll probably end up back at Celtic next season and score 50 goals a season
