So we voted Smithies as our player of the season last time we were an absolute shit show, so who we going for this time? Iversen? Ward? Edouard?

Even as freebies, these were all massively over priced, except Smithies who was our player of the year in 22-23, even if the club didn't acknowledge the fact.

Shows what a shambles we are when we are saying Everton is a guaranteed defeat. They are utterly hideous but I know Moyes will start getting them points.

I just don't see it. Everton aren't going down with Moyes, they will start to pick up more points. Wolves as well, I'd say are more likely to pick up more points than us. We can't defend and we've stopped scoring and the players are mentally weak with no leaders in the squad, so add that all up and it equals relegation. Even with 2 or 3 new signings, the rot is set so deep in this squad, it's almost impossible to get out of. During the great escape, there was always a positivity that we could turn things around as performances were good and we just lacked luck, the vast majority of our performances this season have been hideous. We also had real leaders like Cambiasso, Huth and Morgan, we don't have any leaders in this current squad. I really wanted to be positive and after beating QPR and the PSR announcement I felt confident again and was really looking forward to the Palace game and now that game has completely finished me to the point where I don't even want to watch anymore games this season as we are a complete shambles. Hate to say that as I love my club but right now, this isn't my club and it won't be until the board are removed.

It's not about spending money, it's about the club being run properly by football people who actually know how to run a football club. We know we can't compete financially with the cartel but (I'm sick of talking them but it's true) Brighton and Brentford have proven that if you have the right people at every level of the club, you can become a stabilised premier league club. Man United on the flip side have spent billions but are absolutely shite as they have terrible people running the club. Our whole club needs a shake up with a new board and a new recruitment team plus a whole new coaching team, not to mention a new squad. This obviously takes time but in order for the coaching and playing staff to be good, we've got to get the top of the club in order first otherwise we just end up back in the same spiral, signing dud players on long contracts with no sell on value. If Top can be ruthless (unlikely as he's not been at all since he took over from Vichai) and sack the board and look to start a fresh then fine, if he won't then he needs to sell. The club cannot continue in this spiral. Right now we are more likely to end up in league 1 soon than we are to be competing in the top 10 of the prem.

I think we need to turn this around and start berating anyone who stays until the final whistle! Happy clapping should be banned at the kp. Everyone leaves around 80 mins a boos as loudly as possible 🤣

The biggest issue we have is mentally. The players aren't great, we know that, but with a strong mentality you can grind out results. This lot are weak as piss and have all gone into their shells since Palace scored. Palace are a poor side and we should be beating them but they are so comfortable right now. I don't even think the players aren't trying, a lack of quality plus a lack of leaders plus a weak mentality means it's near on impossible to win at this level. Ipswich are shite but are grinding results as they fight for 90 mins every week and don't give up or let their heads go down.

2nd worst. We're shit but we're still miles better than Southampton who are one of the worst teams to ever play at this level.

Agreed and to be fair, if anyone came in with a large bid for Mads, we'd have to consider it. As much as I want to keep him, he's too good for us and could play for most teams in the world, so we need to accept he's likely not going to be here past this season and if selling him now could fund us bringing in 3 or 4 good players to Improve the squad then it would have to be considered.

Apparently it's a case of, the PL have to try and prove that the judges that found us not guilty of the breaches, were incompetent and no other judges would have come to that outcome. They cannot present new evidence or change arguments so it's basically unwinnable for them which makes you wonder why they are doing it .

Exactly what I thought. He often does talk sense but he's got a right bee in his bonnet about us at the moment and saying he hopes we get relegated was ridiculous.
