  1. There's absolutely no point in selling him for £5/6m, we may as well keep him. He's not on high wages and most of his wages are probably being covered by Stoke. Unless we get £10m plus then he ain't leaving. I'm not suggesting anyone will pay £10m+ for him in Jan but there is zero chance we sell him for any less as it wouldn't help us with psr or to be able to sign any more players.
  2. This. Everton are an appalling team but Dyche has got them defensively sound again which means they aren't easy to beat. They hardly score any goals but they will nick draws and win enough games to stay up because of their defensive game
  3. Agree with some of your points and I suppose a lot of our issues aren't easily fixable, especially given the players we have available. Picking Ward was a terrible error of judgement and whilst the Mads injury was unfortunate, playing either Iversen or Stolarczyk against Wolves could have lead to a different outcome. It was a huge game at a crucial time and has given Wolves confidence whilst done the complete opposite for us. Had we won that, or even drawn it, we'd be in a much better position with more confidence and a little less pressure. Crazy that one selection decision ultimately decided a huge game!
  4. We need 3 defenders, 1 mid and 1 attacker at least to give Ruud a chance of keeping us up. There is little to no chance that we can get that many players in that are actually going to be good enough. If a big bid came in for Mads, I'd consider it if it meant A. We could reinvest the money and promote Stolarcyk to first choice. B. We could actually use the money wisely and sign several players that are good enough for this level. Knowing how poor we are at recruitment, B just isn't realistic, even if there is money available
  5. In what way would you say we've improved under Ruud? Whilst I'm willing to give him time, I don't really see any improvements at all. We still concede way too many chances, give away easy goals and don't create an awful lot. The Newcastle and Liverpool games can be forgiven but the Wolves game was an abomination that I honestly don't think we'd have seen under Cooper. I didn't like Cooper and agreed with his sacking but so far I've seen little to no improvement under Ruud.
  6. If Man City did get relegated through FFP (highly unlikely I know) would that mean that only 2 other team from the PL would be relegated this season? So we could technically finish 3rd bottom and stay up? We won on a technicality with ffp so fck it, let's avoid relegation on a technicality 🤣
  7. They are but i can't stand Robertson, he's a horrible little weasel. Up there for me as one of the most unlikeable players in the PL.
  8. Definitely the kind of player we should be looking at if the price is right.
  9. Would bring experience and quality from set pieces. Not sure what wages he'd be on though and also we can't do anymore prem loans unless OE or FB return to their parent clubs.
  10. Useless, hopeless, relegation fodder, but they'll still probably beat us.
  11. I'd rather fold the club than ever have to see Ward play for us again.
  12. Sickening the wank fest they have over Liverpool
  13. It's clear Justin is done and is only playing as we literally have nobody else, but does anyone know of any realistic options we could look at in January. Would have to be a loan from abroad or a permanent signing unless both OE and FB go back to their parent clubs.
  14. It wasn't an excuse, I was just saying that before his injury he had potential and looked like he'd become a good player for us. You can't say he's always been shit, because that's just not true.
  15. Quite frightening how many goals he's been at fault for this season. Such a shame as he looked a real player before his injury issues but he's like a rabbit in headlights at this level now
  16. Piss from Justin again. We desperately need a right back in Jan, we've zero chance of staying up if we keep playing Justin.
  17. Absolute joke that. Clear he was injured yet Liverpool nor the ref stopped the game. Absolute nobs!
  18. Fairest thing to do here is just abandon it and award us the 1-0 win.
  19. Never been so not arsed about watching a game as I am about this. I've got it on as I'm ill so I'm at home on my own and have avoided having to go to the in laws but right now, spending time with the in laws seems preferable to watching LCFC.
  20. I think it's fair to say Wolves have better players than we do. Everton won't go down and I think Palace have enough. Can anyone honestly say there are currently 3 worse teams than us in this league? We'd need a hell of a January window to stay up and we all know we don't have the right people on charge of recruitment for that to happen.
  21. Is there not one already? Going down the pan this forum, people are clearly becoming too patient
  22. No but having a goalkeeper that can actually make saves does make a big difference.
  23. May not be our choice. Brighton may be able to recall him, depending in what the agreement is. They may have to pay us but if they want him and feel he'll make a difference to their team, they probably will.
  24. Possibly going back to Brighton in Jan. It's the only logical answer I have
  25. Not sure it's as simple as that. I reckon FB is going back to Brighton in Jan so Ruud isn't bothering with him, which is understandable if true.
