  1. Their starting 11 is horrible
  2. That Everton team is rancid so no doubt they'll win easily.
  3. Probably didn't want it as he wouldn't earn the obscene amounts he earns now. Like I said, he'll be happy to be paid to do nothing for us.
  4. Well yeh as Brighton are in a position where they can spend money on players that may not be first team ready now but are ones for the future. We unfortunately aren't in that position so unless we were confident this lad would come straight into our team and be better than what we already have, then of course there would be doubts.
  5. When did he play for Palace? Can he not even play abroad?
  6. We'd have to pay a fine to Palace if we sent him back I believe. If he had anything about him, he'd have got his agent to move heaven and earth to get him a move this window but he's clearly happy earning his massive wages and not even getting on our bench. He'll easily go down as one our worst ever signings, even if it is only a loan. The money we've wasted on him is criminal!
  7. Faes, Vestergaard, Daka and Ward all for a combined £200m. The Saudis don't realise what they are missing out on 🤣
  8. There could be an element of that I suppose but players do get to choose ultimately. I suppose with him often being used as sub behind Watkins, this could also have swayed his decision.
  9. I wouldn't personally as I wouldn't have any interest in living in Saudi Arabia. If I was fortunate enough to be a top level player, I'd 100% stay in Europe but everyone is different. He's getting an obscene amount of money tax free to play in a league where even if he only plays to 50% of his ability, he'll still be one of the best players. As I said its his choice but nobody can expect fans to agree with it, the average wages across Europe are disgustingly high and Saudi is just ridiculous.
  10. It's still pure greed which ever way you want to look at it. Their choice of course but fans respect players that actually want to play football and have a good career more than mercenaries. I also understand that not many players give a fck what fans think and again it's his choice, but it is sheer greed and nothing else
  11. Sad that so many players are more concerned about earning even more money than the absurd amounts they already earn, than they are about their actual careers. Literally nobody gives a fck about the Saudi league and it would never be recognised as serious accolades like winning competitions in Europe is. I totally understand older players doing it but players in their 20's it's just a joke. I don't buy this whole bollocks when players say I'm doing it for my family and I come from a poor up bringing and it's a short career etc, yeh cos earning 100k plus a week in Europe obviously isn't enough to set someone and their family up for life. The greed in football is utterly sickening and another reason to just turn away from it.
  12. But in all seriousness though, it does wind me up that most clubs have done hardly any business this window yet they will all be scurrying around on deadline day trying to get deals done.
  13. Send a strongly worded email to [email protected] He's always very open and transparent and replies to all correspondence to the club.
  14. Key forward players? They literally have 1, Ndiaye. The rest of the their attacking options are no better than ours. They are a very poor side but Moyes is a good manager and he'll get the best out of the shite squad he's got so it will be a tough game but not sure why everyone is so convinced we'll lose, you'd think we were going to other side of Stanley Park.
  15. My step dad is a season ticket holder at Wigan. Says he's OK but league 1 is his level, doesn't look good enough for premier league level.
  16. I think Mavididi, like Winks and a few others are struggling for a few reasons 1. The jump up to the Premier league (even though Winks has played it before) 2. The loss of Enzo. It's clear certain players thrived under Enzo last season and a change of coach/tactics added in with a jump in league can often affect a players form. I also think Mav is missing Fatawu, as teams know that we don't really have anyone down the right that's going to run at them and cause the problems so they just target Mav to stop him playing.
  17. Suppose it depends on what league we are in next season. Signing him on £50k per week for 3 years in the prem could be decent business, £50k a week in the championship not so much, although he'd be ridiculously good in the championship if he was fit.
  18. And a 5 year deal
  19. Agreed if the price and wages are right. He's not exactly old at 24 so if we could keep him fit, he'd be a great signing. The fact Brighton don't seem to be offering him a new deal though would suggest they think his injury issues will continue as I doubt they'd want to let a player of his quality and age leave on a free.
  20. He clearly has an issue with his hamstrings and the fact it's a reoccurring issue doesn't look good. He hasn't missed too many games this season but the last 2 years before this have been a write off for him.
  21. I've always really rated him but injuries have definitely slowed his development. Shouldn't be a problem though, it's not like we have any other full backs in our squad with injury worries.
  22. Well he isn't as he's injured for 95% of a season.
  23. 👏👏👏 brilliant 🤣
  24. He could be key for us for the rest of the season but depends on whether he wears his dustbin costume or his Zidane costume.
