Bit late to the party but just seen that Conceicao won his first 2 games at AC Milan and won the Italian Supercup. Got me thinking, would he potentially have considered joining us in the summer if we'd approached him? Obviously he's at a much bigger club than us now but feels like there were so many better options out there than Cooper, and another horrendous decision by our board, has once again took the club back several steps after Enzo had took us forward a few.
-
So if he does play for out first team, does that mean we'd get more money for him?
-
Not sure what would be worse, Monga is never to be seen and just joins Man City or we get treated to an appearance from him tomorrow, get excited by his potential and then he joins Man City.
-
Very much so. We just don't seem to be targeting the right profile players. It's easy to say I know but we should be going down the route of Brighton and Brentford. We need to go back to basics where we were when Walsh was here and trying to uncover some gems that don't break the bank. As others have said, when we start paying £20m+ for players, 1 we can't afford it and 2 they rarely work out. I say hire some of the people that work on the football manager games, they seem knowledgeable of all the best young players in the world 🤣

That's why I said nominal fee through tribunal
-
Not really sure what you want him to say? He can't come out and say we need a new right back because Justin is shit or say we want to sign x, y or z player, he just has to keep it minimal as he'll be aware how complicated the transfer process is and doesn't want to A. Piss our current players off by saying we are signing their replacements. B. Tell the media which players we want, as that would just disappoint fans if/when we don't actually sign them. C. Say what positions we want to sign as that then can show we are desperate and the selling clubs could hike prices up.
-
If he is going to Man City, because he's under 16, we'll probably not get a penny for him and then end up with a nominal fee through tribunal. Hope it works out for him as Man City are notorious for hoovering up young talent and then spitting them out when they aren't seen as being good enough.

Was going to mention the Mateta goal. Absolute shambles that we have the technology and they still can't come to the right decision. I'm still convinced there is corruption within the officials.
-
Moss was the absolute worst. Not forgetting him sending Vardy off against West Ham
-
The penalty Atletico got when the foul was outside the box. Gary Parkers red card against Atletico for taking a quick free kick.
-
Only 15 years old but he looks absolutely class. If fast tracking him into the first team is a way of us keeping hold of him then I'm all for it. If he reaches his potential, we won't need to worry about prs when one of the big clubs comes sniffing in another 4-5 years.

How would you feel if Forest won the league and could it happen?

Opening day of next season but we'll still be bottom after we get a points deduction from the EFL. -

With how rancid we've been recently, I'd say there's more chance of them winning the league than us winning another game. Although I'm definitely a glass half empty kinda guy 🤣 -
Just don't accept this at all. Nobody is or ever has suggested we are as big or can compete financially with the "cartel 6", but that doesn't mean we couldn't have remained an established premier league club. Finishing top 6 every season would be unrealistic but after the league win and then the later success with the fa Cup and community shield, plus the top half finishes, we should have built on this to ensure we remained an established premier league club. Finishing in the top 10 every season should have been our aim. That may not have been possible every season but the fact is, only 3-4 years ago, we were miles ahead of the likes of Brentford, Brighton, Fulham, Bournemouth etc in every single aspect, and now we are miles behind these clubs and also the likes of Forest, not to mention the obvious of Newcastle and Villa, but I accept that these clubs are bigger than us and have more financial muscle than we do. Even with the "big 6" plus Villa, Newcastle and West Ham (bigger clubs, more money) that would have still put us within the top 10 clubs in the country had the club been run properly. We should never have allowed all these other clubs to catch us up, never mind over take us and leave us miles behind. Ultimately, all the good work that was put in whilst Vichai was here has been undone because people at the club took their eye off the ball and allowed the club to spiral into trouble both on and off the pitch with poor leadership and poor decision making.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Good to see some people still have optimism but for me, until the board is removed and we actually have people running the football club that are capable, the club will never get back to any kind of successful period. And by successful period, I don't mean winning the league again, I mean fighting towards the top end of the table rather than the bottom and the potential of decent cup runs. Its not all about money and prs etc, the likes of Brighton and Brentford have proven that you can be a top half prem club on a small budget, you just need the club to be run properly, which ours unfortunately hasn't been for a while now. -

I'm not so sure. I'm also not convinced we'd be able to attract a decent manager as people would be put off by how badly run the club is plus the points deductions etc. Any new manager would be on a hiding to nowhere, and I can't see Ruud sticking around for long if things get worse. -

100%. We go down this season then we'll not be seeing premier league football for a long time. Wouldn't surprise me if we end up in league 1 and whilst that may seem ott, once the reality of what you've said kicks in, transfer embargos, points deductions, no players, no manager, the same useless board, then it's not beyond the realms of possibility that we go to league 1. -
And then roll over when we play them. I hate that we have to rely on other results all the time, but the reality is, we are shite, and the only way we stay up is if Ipswich and one other lose nearly every game.
-
Win the next 3 (even if the cup game doesn't bring points, it can bring confidence, or shatter it if we lose), or the season is done for me. Palace and Fulham are must win games at home, then after that, nobody knows what could happen against Spurs. They could beat us 5-1 or we could beat them 4-3. They are a very odd side
-
The most frustrating thing about this season, and it's also been the same for the last few seasons, is that no matter how disgustingly bad Everton are, they will stay up. They will probably score less than 30 goals this season but still stay up. They are utterly abhorrent and a stain on the Premier league but are the unflushable turd. As bad as we are, at least we've had many highlights over the last 20+ years. Everton have been wretched for as long as I can remember.
-
Villa probably had one of their worst performances of the season and won comfortably. We are rubbish!
-
Said this previously but if we are in the pits and can't actually spend any money, what would people's thoughts be on selling Mads to fund new signings and having Stolarczyk as number 1 and Iversen as back up? Can't see where we have any other sellable assets in our squad to be fair, other than Bilal which it just wouldn't make sense to sell him when we've only just signed him.
-
Can't get any prem loans unless FB or OE go back to their parent clubs.
-
If we do get found guilty (hopefully not with the KDH money) then there is nowhere to hide and the board needs completely removing. If we aren't guilty, and the PL pursue us again, we absolutely 100% should sue them as they can't keep doing this. They seem absolutely hell bent on getting us one way or another.

The least believable out of the 3 would be Faes to Leeds closely followed by Chillwell as there is zero chance we pay his wages
