  1. Which is why I said he should be made to go on a diversity and inclusivity course. Education is often better than punishment. It was a daft throw away comment anyway, not condoning it but he's not tried to be openly racist or upset anyone. Just a stupid comment.
  2. I don't see the point in banning players for things like this. Should have been made to attend a course on diversity and inclusivity and find a few grand. When players get banned it's the team/fans that suffer and I'm pretty sure Son wouldn't have wanted this.
  3. Maybe, apart from penalties.
  4. It's a good goal but it's some horrendous goalkeeping. So far out and so much time to watch the flight of the ball. I'd go as far as to say Danny Ward would have saved that
  5. Agreed, there are far bigger issues in the world than who hosts motd. Many will watch it regardless and others won't bother. I'm not really that arsed to be fair, it's only a talking point because it's the international break and there's not much else going on
  6. Chappers is the best candidate as he's already shown his credentials on motd2. There are good female pundits/show hosts, nobody is denying that and I'm not at all saying we shouldn't have women on football shows on the tv, but it just feels as though every single game/show etc now, they have to fulfill a quota. My comments aren't just based around the BBC or football/TV, I've seen it for myself in life where recruiters have said "we need more females, or more ethnicity in our workplace" and that's when it's not right. People should be given any job on merit not because of their gender/ethnicity etc.
  7. That's not what I said is it. My point is that the BBC have gone way too far with the whole equality and diversity thing and often put people into roles that aren't necessarily suitable. Chappers would be the obvious choice for me given that he's been doing motd2. I've no issue at all with a woman hosting motd, so long as they are given the role because they are the best candidate, not to tick a box which the BBC love to do at the moment. As I've said previously, it's the same in every job. Give the job on merit to the right person regardless of their age, sex, ethnicity etc.
  8. So apparently Alex Kay-Jelski wants Chappers to job share the role with Kelly Sommers and Chappers has said he won't job share. Good on him if it's true as the BBC are just trying to cover up how woke they are by having a male and female presenter. Just give the job to Chappers and be done but of course he doesn't tick all the required boxes.
  9. Hermansen Faes Kante Winks Vardy Wanted to get Vardy and Kante in the team as the other 3 are irrelevant if you had them 2. Surprised Mahrez wasn't an option.
  10. This is exactly what I say and it's true about any job in the world. Doesn't matter if you're male, female, black, white etc, if you're the right person for the job then you get the job, but not because you tick an equality box. Absolutely drives me mad!
  11. 100% it will be Alex Scott. She ticks every box needed. Not the boxes that the audience want to see ticked but certainly the ones the BBC want to see ticked.
  12. Fifa won't allow it to happen. They make so much money on the world cup etc, and I think they hate the likes of the Premier league making so much money. Fifa still holds the power and anything that risks losing them money won't happen. Whilst many people in this country hate the international breaks, other countries that have poor club leagues like Scotland for example probably look forward to international football
  13. Years ago I watched football nearly every day. I'd watched prem games, England games, anything that was on, I'd watch it. Now I can barely even be arsed watching Leicester games let alone any other. I don't find it as exciting as I once did and the poor running of the club and how shit we are now is a factor but I just think football in general has gone boring. Years ago, big champions league games and el classicos etc I'd be all up for but I've not actually watched a full game of football (other than Leicester and non league) for a long time. I don't even watch motd or any kind of highlights shows anymore. They say too much of something isn't a good thing and this is exactly what's happened with football. There is too much of it and it's not as entertaining as it once was.
  14. Still waiting for Fernando Pasquinelli to make his debut
  15. We are a decent manager away from being a capable side. Granted we need to improve the squad in certain areas, especially the defence but even if we signed 2 or 3 good players in Jan, if Coopers still here, it won't make a shite of difference
  16. He'll probably end up at Rangers when they get rid of Clement. Can still unwind and relax whilst managing in the SPL
  17. Should he be sacked? 100% Will he be sacked? 0% Top and Rudkin will not accept they fckd up. Sacking him this early is them admitting they got it totally wrong. Went for the cheapest option of manager yet spent £40m on 2 players that never start. Just more evidence that the board are as incompetent as they always have been for years. One right decision hiring Maresca and the rest of the decision making has been poor for a long time now but our passive fan base just enable to board to continue thinking they are doing a good job. Clubs a shambles!
  18. Sounds daft but it's frustrating if we lose this as Man United are an extremely poor side
  19. No chance. Cooper will be here until Christmas at least, if not longer. Sacking him early would mean Top/Rudkin admitting they fckd up and they won't do that. It will be another Rodgers situation where we leave it too late, nobody decent will want the job and we hire another Dean Smith type and go down with a whimper.
  20. As others have said, not sure where he'd fit now if a January loan was on option as we already have Winks, Ndidi and Skipp for the deeper positions and Buonanotte and El Khannouss for the positions further forward. Would love him back though but wages could also be a problem. Can't see Chelsea doing us any favours either.
  21. Not sure KDH had much of a choice. We needed the money and he knew we needed the money.
  22. That's actually a decent shout. Not sure Chelsea would be wanting to loan him out though but he doesn't seem to play much.
  23. We created a load of chances in the cup game with our reserves against their first team, so I'd imagine we'll have no trouble creating chances/scoring again. Question is, can we score as many or more than them?
  24. Ipswich fans moaning about var and the penalty they should have had. Fair enough as it probably was a penalty but if Phillips was sent off in the first half like he should have been, then it would have been a totally different game and we'd most likely have won. If anyone has a gripe with the officiating today, it should be us.
  25. We should have beat Palace to be fair. A draw against Arsenal wouldn't have been a fair result, they absolutely hammered us but thats to be expected. I do think our players are limited but I think they are even more limited because Cooper just isn't very good.
