  1. Inches away from two Puskas Award nominations
  2. I’ve seen enough, this kid is going to be one of the best wingers in the world.
  3. There’s absolutely no reason for us to buy him in January, why even consider that?
  4. In addition to UFS’s work in the stands and in the community, you’ve filled the void of advocacy for fans and taken on real leadership on behalf of those who are shut out of supporting their club in person. Cheers on ten years— I think your next ten years will be your best yet!

Yeah, I have to agree with you on this. I hate judging a player based on a YouTube real but those clips are hardly inspiring.
  6. Can’t you just acknowledge Ash’s post without being all sensitive? Someone has to cry about this on every thread. 👏👏👏 phenomenal effort, especially with midweek games and a late Boxing Day kick off.
  7. Happy and Merry Christmas from all of us in NYC!
  8. Someone should tell Viking Honour that everyone can see his likes and followed accounts on Twitter. #NSFW #ViewerDiscretionIsAdvised I’ll choose UFS over those two weirdos all day long.
  9. I’m afraid you’re both wrong. (That is still one of the greatest posts in FT history, @KFS)
  10. Ha, yeah, I’ve known he’s an Everton (such a shame!). Was referring to the person who remembered that clip and posted it on Twitter.
  11. During one of my trips over the Atlantic a few years ago, I was in London during the weekend of an away day in the south. My girlfriend pretended she double booked us for the Saturday so she could surprise me with tickets that she had to purchase two memberships for in order to acquire. That was an expensive day, complete with rail replacement and Puelball. She won’t be going to another game any time soon (which might be a blessing but I digress… 😂).
  12. I’d love to buy that person a beer.
  13. I’ve watched some Bologna this season and I think we can do much better than him if we get promoted, especially for a player who’s normally in such an advanced role. He’s a bit of a clunky player but, hey, that’s just from the few games I’ve watched and I’m no top scout. He’s definitely a robust presence on the pitch.

  15. There were a few mix-ups and he was caught between decisions a couple of times— I think he’d admit he had a frustrating day at the office but I totally agree with you on his movement. He’ll bring that to every game, which is a huge advantage for us, even if his finishing isn’t going well.
  16. Had a rough game last night but that’s totally fine after his prior two performances. Give him time and he’ll rebuild his chemistry with his teammates.
  17. He goes back to Sporting over my dead body. Sign him up, whatever it takes.
  18. This is a ridiculous exaggeration, especially after a game when we completely dominated possession and he was extremely tidy with the ball. In fact, he wasn’t dispossessed once and only misplayed one pass. We need a striker who creates space, draws defenders out of position, helps us overload key areas, and can quickly break past the lines. Daka is showing he can do all of that in this division.
  19. But there isn’t an organ like that going on during the game. The only thing remotely close during the game is the goal music, which we’ve still had during some of our best atmospheres. The excuses only hold so much weight.
  20. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW, @Ric Flair?
  21. And win the game, like we’ve done more than any side in the country this season.
  22. Iheanacho had a very rough game but his play on the winning goal surely earns him better than a 4.8 average rating.
  23. Not nearly as painful as it was reading your post.
  24. Saying we’re fine when we’re top of the league is nothing like the mentality that saw us relegated. There were always going to be growing pains this season, especially now with a new manager who has only eighteen league games and one transfer window under his belt. The squad is still incredibly unbalanced. We still have FIVE goalkeepers on the books.
  25. At this point in the 13/14 season (the year we tore through the Championship), we had 38 points and had lost to Doncaster (relegated), Charlton (finished 18th), Forest at home, and Wednesday (finished 16th) and were just about to get spanked by Brighton. We had won only two games by 3 goals, something we’ve done 3 times this season. We rolled the dice with the lineup yesterday because we could afford to and it will help keep some of our players fresh through the festive period. We’re playing a new system and have more transfer business to take care of in January. I’ll panic when we blow the auto promotion places.
