There’s a lot in this— technical, expansive football has its time and place. But when you’re on an extremely bad run of form and can no longer afford moral victories, it’s time to get back to basics. Rodgers couldn’t accept that and his attempts to out-football his way past our troubling form led to over-complicating the tactics and a confused squad that couldn’t buy a win. Let’s see how Enzo handles things, maybe that hour-long team talk after the Preston game was the turning point…

That’s exactly what you’re highlighting, though. You’re completely unaware of how footballers behave in other countries, and English football league is comprised of players from all over the world but want to blame America for Cole Palmer’s celebration. I’m not defending all influence of American ownership in the game and I didn’t say a damn word about the Super League. That you would use a stupid little celebration by Cole Palmer as an excuse to go on your diatribes says a lot more about you than any American influence in the game.

Things change. The is no sport, hell there’s not even a city anywhere in the world these days where the register and style have stayed the same from the 1990s. Have you ever considered that you’re just getting older? And have you ever watched any football from South America or Africa? Or other parts of Europe? Blaming all of this on some American bogeyman is doing nothing but highlighting your own provincialism.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

Experts like Stefan Borson have said over and over again that this isn’t the case. There is a trial date set for Man City. -

Absolutely, it would still be foolish not appeal and challenge something so clear. -

They are probably under enormous pressure from the other clubs in the EFL. I’d imagine at least one of those clubs is considering legal action against the league and against us. We’ve made a mockery of the EFL’s competition by exceeding the PL’s more lenient PSR and have made absolutely no effort to comply with the EFL’s rules. If I were an owner of another Championship club who has his own house in order, I’d be furious at the EFL for failing to ensure a fair competition, which directly harms my club. -
I’ve been a longtime defender of Enzo this season but his football ain’t gonna work if we get promoted, are starting six points back, and can’t reinforce the squad next season. We had enough trouble playing Enzo Ball with a vastly superior squad against Millwall.

I’m having a lot of trouble coming up with managers who would have done worse than 9 losses at this point in the season with this squad.

The latest scarf is phenomenal.

Good thing Enzo waited until the 75th minute to make a sub considering how well we were playing.

Guilem Balague, please STFU for the rest of the season. Cheers.

Can’t cover up these results and decisions with your beard dye, Enzo.

Phenomenal work by everyone to crush the goal so quickly.

And how many have actually been charged under these rules? We’re not dealing with very much precedent here. -

That Forest are risking an increased sanction by appealing their punishment makes me think they are confident they will get their points deduction reduced further or eliminated. -

We haven’t even had our day in court yet. We likely broke the rules, yeah, but the number of people who are willingly accepting punishment based on charges is astounding. We’re talking charges here, not verdicts. The process has only just started with the PL and we still haven’t submitted our final accounts for our Championship season. -

That’s probably the best prediction of what will happen in the future, to be fair. We are taking a huge gamble here. -

Fully agree here, even if we have done wrong. Either one of the leagues will likely get us in the end but we’re absolutely right to push back, especially at the EFL, who we’ve already beaten once. Now it looks like they are trying stunts to force us into PSR failure after they’ve already been told that a relevant rule does not apply to us. -

The last and highly-relevant case, I might add. -

I’m sorry but there isn’t a single club on the planet that would do that in at this point in the process, especially after the EFL just lost the last case. -

This reeks of some jobsworths at the EFL intent on seeing through all of their remedies for a rule they’ve already gotten slapped back on.
