I’ve been a longtime defender of Enzo this season but his football ain’t gonna work if we get promoted, are starting six points back, and can’t reinforce the squad next season. We had enough trouble playing Enzo Ball with a vastly superior squad against Millwall.

I’m having a lot of trouble coming up with managers who would have done worse than 9 losses at this point in the season with this squad.

And how many have actually been charged under these rules? We’re not dealing with very much precedent here.

That Forest are risking an increased sanction by appealing their punishment makes me think they are confident they will get their points deduction reduced further or eliminated.

We haven’t even had our day in court yet. We likely broke the rules, yeah, but the number of people who are willingly accepting punishment based on charges is astounding. We’re talking charges here, not verdicts. The process has only just started with the PL and we still haven’t submitted our final accounts for our Championship season.

That’s probably the best prediction of what will happen in the future, to be fair. We are taking a huge gamble here.

Fully agree here, even if we have done wrong. Either one of the leagues will likely get us in the end but we’re absolutely right to push back, especially at the EFL, who we’ve already beaten once. Now it looks like they are trying stunts to force us into PSR failure after they’ve already been told that a relevant rule does not apply to us.

The last and highly-relevant case, I might add.

I’m sorry but there isn’t a single club on the planet that would do that in at this point in the process, especially after the EFL just lost the last case.

This reeks of some jobsworths at the EFL intent on seeing through all of their remedies for a rule they’ve already gotten slapped back on.

@Ric Flair’s Coca-Cola story on @The Fosse Way and his kedgeree story on @BSLBPod were genuinely two of the highlights of my week.

This is flawed logic on so many levels.

I like Enzo (a lot, I might add). But I don’t know if he’s got the experience to see out this mission successfully.
